39 - What is that X-P thing?

Christian churches are often  filled with a myriad of images and symbols. Some of them are fairly easy to figure out, such as the cross. Others are less obvious or outright abstruse as to their meaning. One such symbol looks like an X and P superimposed - one upon the  other.
