392: Squad Gols

On this week's episode of the Cheesy Controller Podcast, the crew reunites to talk about everything they've been playing and the biggest stories shaking up the gaming world. Season 2 of Marathon has finally arrived, and despite Anton spending far less time in the game than last season, the squad is still having an absolute blast dropping into Tau Ceti. They also discuss the uncertainty surrounding Bungie and the rumors of possible layoffs, along with saying an emotional goodbye to Destiny 2 as one of gaming's longest-running live-service journeys comes to a close after more than a decade of unforgettable memories. Elsewhere, Jalen can't stop talking about CrossCode, the indie RPG that's completely taken over their gaming time and may be one of the best hidden gems they've ever played. Outside of gaming, the crew shares their excitement for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, breaks down this year's NBA Finals, and gets Madrid's thoughts on how the NBA season played out. It's another week of gaming, sports, laughs, and plenty of cheesy takes you won't want to miss! 🧀🎮
