Cellbricks Therapeutics entwickelt biofabrizierte Gewebeimplantate für die regenerative Medizin. Co-CEO und Co-Gründer Alexander Leutner spricht mit Jan Thomas im Startup Spotlight über den langen Weg vom Berliner Bayer-Campus bis in den klinischen Einsatz – und darüber, was es braucht, damit solche Moonshot-Themen auch aus Deutschland heraus eine echte Chance haben. Über den Gast Alexander Leutner ist Co-CEO und Co-Gründer von Cellbricks Therapeutics. Er studierte Maschinenbau an der RWTH Aachen und gründete 2012 Apodius GmbH, ein Spin-off der RWTH Aachen im Bereich Messtechnik, das er durch Wachstum und Profitabilität bis zur Übernahme durch den schwedischen Konzern Hexagon AB führte. Anschließend leitete er dort die Business Unit „Vision Systems" als Managing Director. 2021 stieg er als Late Co-Founder bei Cellbricks Therapeutics ein – motiviert durch seine persönliche Geschichte: die Nierenspende an seinen jüngeren Bruder prägte den Entschluss, sich ganz dem Healthcare-Sektor zu widmen. Heute verantwortet er als Co-CEO die strategische und unternehmerische Entwicklung des Berliner Tissue-Engineering-Startups, das er gemeinsam mit einem internationalen Team aus 13 Nationen aufbaut. Er ist 2026 als Finalist für den German Startup Award in der Kategorie Impact Entrepreneur nominiert und hielt einen TEDx Talk über Biofabrikation und die Zukunft der Organspende.
