Fr. John Brancich, FSSP is the pastor of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Nashua, New Hampshire. He was ordained into the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter in 2004. In Today's Show The Douay-Rheims has this passage as "And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." I've seen other Bibles that say, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." Is this just a translation issue? When praying to God for something over and over, does God want that or is what we are praying for simply not accepted? Can you explain what a general confession is? "Then two shall be in the field: one shall be taken, and one shall be left." Can you explain what this Gospel passage means? How does a Catholic maintain good conscience in an unjust war? Why is it difficult to get into a Deacon program? Isn't there a shortage? Speaking in tongues. How does someone recognize this and what should they do if they hear it? When I vote can I have Jesus be my write-in? Should I attend a baptism in which the godparent is in a gay marriage? Is watching combat sports like boxing and UFC sinful?
