4.2.19:Pay Equity Day-Chick-fil-A Banned Again-Dave Kopel On The Red Flag Bill

from The Americhicks · host The Americhicks

Welcome to the Americhicks podcast. Kim Monson is your host - Agree or disagree, let's have a conversation! Today is Pay Equity Day. Pay Equity Day is meant to champion equal pay for women. Rarely when someone discusses pay equity do they consider the many different factors in why females are sometimes paid a different wage for the same work. The free market can, and if allowed will, take care of any wage gap. The town of Lone Tree has developed itself in such a way that is designed to get people out of their vehicles and into public transportation. Stephany Rose Spaulding, a former congressional candidate, has announced that she will challenge Senator Cory Gardner. Previously Mike Johnston also announced that he will run against Senator Gardner. Another city has banned Chick-fil-A from a presence in its airport. These cities try to paint Chick-fil-A as discriminatory despite the fact that Chick-fil-A does not discriminate in either service or employment. It kind of makes these cities look like ideological bullies. Are there red flags to watch for in Colorado’s Red Flag bill? Folks are concerned about the lack of due process and the constitutionality of this Red Flag Legislation. Dave Kopel, Adjunct Professor of Advanced Constitutional Law at DU and Director of Research at the Independence Institute (i2i.org/about/our-people/dave-kopel) joins Kim to talk about problems with Colorado's Red Flag bill. ________________________________________________ Copyright 2019: The Americhicks W/Kim Monson Visit us at www.americhicks.com To have someone contact you about advertising on the radio program, the podcast, or the Americhicks website visit:www.americhicks.com/contact and fill out the form.
