Wilma Comenat is the local Regional Director of the Lupus Foundation of America and Michelle Morrison is a young woman living with the disease, lupus. The word 'mystery' occurs a lot when speaking of this disease because it manifests in many different ways, mainly affecting women. About 1.5 millions persons live with this disease in the US. Research is key, and funding is critical to supporting research. The Lupus Foundation has a very interesting/fun event coming up on May 19. Preregistration is required, as participation is limited for "The Great Unknown", a day of 5 different experiences using brain, brawn, and have a sense of adventure! The Walk to End Lupus is September 22.
