Susan was recently part of a Wall Street Journal article to be published next week or the week after, in which she talked about how the Trump tax break has help not only her business, but also her employees and her customers. For decades the Philadelphia Flyers, an NHL hockey team, has played the Kate Smith's version of America the Beautiful before home games. Recently they stopped playing her version of the song and removed a statue of her. They did this because she had also sang songs perceived today as being racist, but they did not look at the context of the situation and seem to have missed the big picture. Is the whole language method of teaching our kids making them illiterate? How have the reading wars affected our children’s education?
