4/24 Job 3 - Real Suffering and Poor Counsel

When we're faced with real suffering, where do we go for answers? Today we'll study Job 3 and see that Job was suffering deeply and although his friends tried to counsel him, their words didn't contain God's wisdom but man's. We'll continue to lay the foundation for how to seek the Lord in the midst of real suffering and deep questions. DISCUSSION AND STUDY QUESTIONS: 1. Who were Job's friends that arrived at the end of chapter 2? 2. What did they do when they saw Job in verse 12? According to the podcast, why did they wait seven days before speaking? Can you imagine yourself waiting so long to console a loved-one who was grieving? 3. In this passage, why does Job wish he was never born? Why would Job grieve this way?
