Mike Rotkin, a member of the Regional Transportation Commission and Transit Board, expressed his appreciation to Manu Koenig and Bruce McPherson for their inquiry into a significant matter rather than outright opposition. He corrected a public misconception about the environmental impact of a local project, clarifying that only about 60 to 70 heritage native trees would be lost, contrary to the exaggerated claims of nearly a thousand trees.
