4.5 The Hoopoe and the Canaanite Deity Molech

In this episode, I continue working through the few new topics presented in the book of Leviticus. After covering in the last episode one of the birds whose consumption was forbidden in Leviticus, the cormorant, I pick up with the other lesser known one, the hoopoe. I also work through what is known about the Canaanite deity of Molech, traditionally connected with child sacrifice and specifically addressed by God in the text.
