Continuing our celebration of Easter and Christ’s victory, we read in Acts 4 how the resurrection empowered the disciples to live selfless and giving lives. Gratitude, generosity, and love shown through their lives as they gave of themselves, their finances, and their resources to share Christ’s love and the power of the resurrection with others. It’s not about coercion but how the resurrection transforms our lives. Both the 1 John and the John 20 readings provide more foundational pieces that can be related to how and why we give freely, generously, and with thankfulness from all that the Lord has given us.
