There is no way to have that level of quality control. Its the difference between Wikipedia and Encyclopedia Brittanica GOPHER, ARCHIE, JUGHEAD, and VERONICA? There is no way to go back to the Yahoo! of old? Is there a business model in users paying a monthly fee for access to a human-curated directory. A Yahoo-Pedia for the 21st century? What is quality? Quality is in the eye-of-the-beholder. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance Inside - and curated newsletters are going pay and private - better content and curation by going pay. Is human curation the thing we pay for since algorithmic creation is failing us so badly? Would you pay for someone to search through the crap? Just get a better thesaurus There is no absolute truth - but is their value in getting the best content Its a continuum between beauty and non-beauty - even if you don't get exactly what you need, it might be enough to take in the right direction. Build it better, but not perfect. There is a limit to what we can do - we will always be standing on the shoulders of giants.
