4: Chronicling COVID-19 - "The Lost Spring Season"

from The Growl · host CFHS Tiger Times

Welcome to Chronicling COVID-19, a special series brought to you by the creators of The Growl at The Tiger Times newspaper. Join host Maggie Mills as she documents the COVID-19 pandemic through the stories of those affected. COVID-19 has had a particularly dramatic impact on the high school class of 2020. When the health crisis officially became a pandemic back in March, seniors were still preparing to start Spring sports seasons - albeit a bit off schedule - and looking forward to Prom and Graduation. However, since Governor DeWine recently announced the cancelation of schools for the rest of the year, the OHSAA officially canceled Spring sports on April 20 and Prom and Graduation have been tentatively rescheduled for July. On this installment of Chronicling COVID-19, Maggie speaks with four seniors - two Spring sports members and two members of the Speech & Debate team - to discuss how the pandemic has personally affected them.
