4. Dr. Maggie Conklin of Heirloom Academy

from Promoting and Protecting Naturopathy by American Naturopathic Medical Association · host American Naturopathic Medical Association

Welcome to Protecting and Promoting Naturopathy, a podcast powered by American Naturopathic Medical Association. To celebrate 45 years of the American Naturopathic Medical Accreditation Board, we are continuing our series where we will be interviewing schools certified by ANMCB. This episode features Dr. Maggie Conklin, BA, ND. Dr. Conklin is an ANMCB Board Certified Doctor of Traditional Naturopathy, Naturopathic Doctor, Herbalist, Educator, and Director and  Co-founder of Heirloom Academy of Healing Arts.   The Heirloom Academy of Healing Arts has been ANMAB Accredited since 2019 and has earned its reputation as a leading institution in Naturopathy due to its comprehensive training, practical experience, and emphasis on empowering graduates to make a significant impact in the field of natural health and healing. The Heirloom Academy offers various programs for individuals looking to pursue a career, such as the Master Herbalist program, Doctor of Naturopathy, and Traditional Naturopathy. Maggie grew up in Michigan. After graduation, she worked for two years managing the oldest health food store in St. Louis, where she worked closely with an ND and soon realized that she had a calling to work as an ND herself. Her practice, LadyHawk Nutrition LLC, is in Saugatuck, Michigan. Frustrated with being able to help only one person or one family at a time, she leaped at the offer from Darryl Patton to help him start a school of natural health. She is comforted by the number of people who can acquire the secrets of nature and healing from the Heirloom Academy of Healing Arts, and how they in turn will spread that knowledge around the world. Be sure to listen until the end where Dr. Conklin shares her wise advice on making money as a Naturopath! We also highlighted ANMCB. Board Certification with American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board is a way to enhance your credibility and gain the trust of consumers and fellow natural health practitioners. By obtaining this certification, you will demonstrate that you possess specialized skills, educational qualifications, and experience, and adhere to dedicated standards in natural health care.
