4) GREAT BARRIER REEF with Peter

from EnvironmentArt Stories Hosted by YSDM

Mauri chats with Peter, his scuba diving teacher. Peter dreamed of being a professional soccer player, until a friend invited him to go diving in the Great Barrier Reef. He became a world-wide professional diver and teacher, with a controversial opinion about Climate Change. Some topics of the conversation include reef threats, overfishing, coral planting and reproduction. I always remember when he shared to me that what he does is not about diving or boats, it’s about people; referring to how experiencing coral reefs can change someone’s perspective on life forever. In this episode's action, we go on a night dive in the outer GBR to witness the most spectacular act of animal reproduction, Coral Spawning. Jump on the website to check out the action videos YT channel. Get in touch with Peter and learn more about coral planting in Marine Conservation Fiji.
