4: M.I.A. "Maya"

from Transatlantic Rebels

Meet Jesal and Rochard. We are the Transatlantic Rebels. In Episode 4, our special M.I.A. series consisting of in-depth past reviews continues with her third album "Maya" from 2010 - otherwise known as ΛΛ Λ Y Λ. We will follow this in the coming weeks with a podcast for her fourth album "Matangi" and the (possibly final) album "AIM" which gets released on 9th September 2016. We talk about how this album foreshadowed this decade - a Mayan prophecy, if you will; assess the trajectory with which toddlers throw food at parents; that dreaded 'D word' pops up again; and finally realise that our headphones connect to the iPhone connects to the Google connected to the government. Jesal is from the UK, and Rochard is from America. We like to talk in depth about albums, films, TV shows and books. Rochard has a background in TV, acting, writing and many other areas of art creation. Jesal has a background in music: DJ, producer, artist, critic and other stuff. Enjoy! TrueLife George Monty What happens when a scientist, a mystic, and a comedian walk into your nervous system and refuse to leave? TrueLife is speculative audio that takes the most dangerous ideas in neuroscience, consciousness, and human potential — and makes them impossible to unhear. Fictional compounds. Real mechanisms. Experiences that don’t have names yet. For the seekers, the rebels, and everyone who has ever suspected that reality is significantly stranger than advertised. Explicit Find the Path Presents Find the Path Ventures The city of Kintargo has long been a shelter for artists, free-thinkers, and those marginalized by the oppressive Chelaxian government ― but now the city has been placed under martial law by inquisitor Barzilali Thrune. When a protest turns into a riot, a new group of heroes comes together to form an organized resistance to the devil-binding government and the Church of Asmodeus. But can they survive long enough to establish allies…or will they become the latest victims of the Thrice-Damned House of Thrune? The Find the Path crew plays through the Pathfinder AP Hell’s Rebels, now converted to Second Edition! Explicit Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast Podcast Heat Kevin Nash, wrestling's six-time World Heavyweight Champion and twelve-time Tag Team Champion, is inviting YOU to become an insider in the most exclusive band of rebels in the Podcast sphere! Kevin and his crew grabbed the wrestling business by the sack in the 90's and never let go, making his Kliq the most powerful faction in the history of the business, both on camera and off. They spent countless hours together, riffing on the business, the lifestyle, and everything else under the sun, and this podcast is no exception. Kevin left wrestling and built a successful career as an actor and guest on dozens of talk shows. His opinionated nature has made him the most requested guest of shoot interviews and network shows for more than a decade. Now, Kevin and his frequent host Sean Oliver, bring you all that you loved about their shows in this weekly podcast. No guest or topic is off limits. Are you sweeeeet enough.....to be the next member of the Kliq?
