4 Michigan Players Who Can Replace Rod Moore | Michigan Football 2024

Michigan Football's best safety, Rod Moore, suffered a non-contact ACL tear in practice earlier this week. Moore plays free safety at Michigan and last year he recorded a critical interception against Ohio State, along with another interception against Indiana and three passes defended throughout the season. With his injury likely causing him to sit out for most or all of the 2024 college football season, Michigan needs several players to step up in his absence. Quinten Johnson's and Makari Paige's return certainly help bolster an already thin secondary, and young players Zeke Berry and Brandyn Hillman are poised for breakouts sooner or later. I think it is a safe bet that Berry will start at free safety or at least make big contributions there and I think Johnson and Paige will improve from last year if they can stay healthy.
