While working up on the hilltop collecting firewood, a father and teen-aged daughter come running out of the woods, pursued by two armed men. They demand that the man and girl be returned to Cliffhaven. Matt, who is also armed, refuses. Matt declines to take in the pair, but Nicole offers to, despite her lack of resources to share.
