4. Obedient Mentality

Part of the "Mentality? It’s Up To You" Series (Part 4) On the fourth instalment of our current series “It’s Up to You”, Pastor Tai takes us on a journey of understanding the importance of obedience. Over the past few weeks, we have looked at 1) The Entitlement Mentality 2) The Treadmill Mentality, 3) The Independent Mentality and lastly, today 4) The Obedient Mentality. Using the same scripture as last week, 2 Chronicles 26, Pastor Tai further unravels the tragic story of King Uzziah; a king who started out well but made a mistake that cost him his kingdom, his legacy and ultimately his life. Today we are encouraged to recognise the importance of obedience and humility. In a world that so often tempts us to exalt ourselves, tempts is to depend on the praise and adulation of others, we can find ourselves so steeped in pride that we lose all sense of reverence and humility before God.
