When we're not satisfied with ourselves and what we believe other people think of us, it's easy to target our body, weight, size, features, or shape as a means to be more liked, accepted and appreciated. Problem is, they're superficial and don't define all that we are. Physical change overlooks all that you are on the inside. Physical change can be fleeting when pursued for all the wrong reasons and not deliver on the true results we desire. In this episode, Leslie shares why we often focus on our bodies and skip over our deeper needs for fulfillment, connection, and satisfaction. Learn what needs to happen first to get to the root of those emotional and motivational needs before embarking on physical change. Our needs for connection, belonging, acceptance, value and self-worth, that diets and exercise don't address.
