4 wounded in separate Philly shootings
from KYW Newsradio Audio On-Demand
Authorities are looking for whoever injured four people in separate shootings throughout Philadelphia on Sunday. It was close to noon when police say two men were shot near Temple University Hospital's emergency entrance on Germantown Avenue. The school's Vice President for Public Safety and Chief of Police Denise Wilhelm says that the men were sitting inside a car when a moving car with two suspects drove up to it, opened fire, and then sped away. Both victims are in the hospital. Also in North Philadelphia, police say a 32-year-old woman was shot in the stomach, back, and leg on North Hemberger Street, near Lehigh Avenue, around 3 a.m. Hours later, close to 7 a.m. in Southwest Philly, officers located a 42-year-old man shot along 62nd Street and Woodland Avenue. Both are in the hospital. The man is in critical condition, and the woman is stable. All of the shootings are under investigation. (photo credit: Getty Images)
