40. Can't We Catch A Break? - With Shelby Forsythia

from Grief, Gratitude & The Gray in Between · host Kendra Rinaldi

In this conversation with Shelby Forsythia she shares about the “four years of hell’ that she and her family lived through, which in hindsight she is grateful for because it’s allowed her to understand others who experience grief. They faced many different types of grief, one thing right after another, as if they could not catch a break! It all started when her dad lost his job, then shortly after he was diagnosed with two brain aneurisms. Not too long after that Shelby shared with her family that she was gay, which tested their relationship. Then her mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, and after a short time undergoing treatment, she died the day after Christmas. Shelby shares with us all about her grief journey, and the tools she has found to be helpful through her grief. She is now the author of several books on the topic of grief, Your Grief, Your way and Permission to Grieve as well as podcast host of Grief Book Review and Coming Back: Conversations on Life After Loss. She an intuitive grief guide she is helping people reclaim their power and peace of mind after devastating loss.
