40% Facts: Creativity & Failure

from Flipflops Podcast · host Angelique Gay

Welcome to a new series called 40% Facts. Born on a girl's road trip from Montreal to New York, this idea for a show has been in my head for years. It wasn't my idea, but once I heard it, I vowed to make it happen. Annabelle Agnew, Emeline Villedary, Suzanne Bateman and myself have been friends for many years. Today we talk about our relationship history with creativity, we redefine "failure", and share how motherhood fuels our work. We also talk about the importance of risk-taking, dormancy periods and how sometimes all our answers for the future, lie in revisiting the past. Or not, this is 40% facts after all. 100% Facts: “The sculpture is already complete within the marble block, before I start my work. It is already there, I just have to chisel away the superfluous material.” ― Michelangelo Emeline refers to this article: https://www.artsy.net/article/artsy-editorial-how-pollock-picasso-and-6-other-iconic-artists Annabelle's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/annabelleagnew/ Emeline's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/emelinevilledary/ Suzanne's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sewze/ Angelique's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/angelique_d_g_/
