40 - Women for Women Wednesday - Paris Prynkiewicz

Hi Guys! This week I am joined by Paris from the Crooked Illness Podcast. Paris and I met when I recruited her on Instagram to join our amazing group of women at Crowned for Success. However, I connected with Paris in a special way. I loved what she was doing already with her podcast that she had launched in January of 2020 and she is already killing it. I wanted to bring her on the show to highlight her story and how far she has come in her own journey. I think it is so powerful what she is doing for the mental health community. (Bare with me, my internet is still having some issues at the new house but I was able to edit it for the most part using my favorite tool, Audacity of course :-) Here is Paris' bio and contact information: I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and would love to dive into the importance of the relationship between your mindset and your mental health. I speak about what I have personally learned from this in the two perspectives I have gained. The first perspective comes from when I was 19, hospitalized and diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder. The second perspective comes from when I was 23, fresh out of college and returned to work at the very same clinic I was once a patient at. These two perspectives allowed me to see the stigma attached to mental illness from both angles. I've been able to strip away the stigma I attached to my experience and I want to show others how it is possible to do the same.
