400 Years of Silence

Long silence can make God seem absent or angry, especially when prayers remain unanswered for years. After four hundred years without a prophet, Gabriel announces that Elizabeth will bear John, who will fulfil the prophet Malachi’s promise and prepare Israel for Jesus. God’s timing remains mysterious. His quietness does not mean that He has lost control, yet His answer may not match what people ask for.
