One sentence can dismantle a life of trust: “Did God actually say?” We start at the very beginning, where the first man and woman live in Eden with one clear boundary, and where a crafty enemy doesn’t lead with a command but with a question that turns obedience into a debate.We walk through Genesis 3 and the serpent’s deception, including the striking detail that the original Hebrew can point to a “dragon,” echoing the great deceiver seen later in Revelation. We talk about why temptation so often targets our confidence in God’s Word, how the pull to “be like God” is the same pride that fueled Satan’s fall, and how sin instantly produces shame, hiding, and blame.
