Most recognised as saxophonist for Pink Floyd. As an entrepreneur he formed Walt Tucker Productions, an audio video post production company, co-founded 7th Level, Inc. CD-ROM game and educational software company, co-founded New Media Broadcasting Company, a social media and collaborative communications enterprise, and is the co-founder and CEO of Direct2Care an online presence management company for healthcare.Although Marty Shannon has never quite liked talking about himself, he has agreed to write this biography in the third person. Indeed, the youngest of 4, he was raised humbly in a little swath of beach paradise in South West Florida called Sarasota. his parents fed and watered his love for music with legends like Al Green, Sam Cooke and Bill Withers. His eldest brother was in an Orlando based band which is how Marty got his first guitar. Not by right, however. When his brother would leave the house, he would steal his guitar and do the best he could to make sounds. "There was nothing quite like it."
