405 ”The Son”

So, this one was kind of a bummer. I mean, it was a really good episode. One of the best of the series (if you ask Anthony, anyway). But Matt's dad died, so a little rough. But we still got some laughs out of it and of course good conversation.  Here's what Havan IronOak had to say bout it: "Just as the East Dillon Lions start to perform as a team, the town of Dillon is rocked with the news of the death of Matt's dad. Coach & Mrs Taylor and Julie all do their part to help Matt weather the storm. Landry & Riggins & the rest all rally to help as well but ultimately Matt must make peace with his dad on his own. Meanwhile Becky connects with Luke after he's been paint-balled by some of his former friends and the two finally..."  Not sure if Havan is trying to be suggestive or just forgot to finish his synopsis... Anyway, Josh and Anthony talk about all that plus Anthony's review of Donda, a new MoviedudeTwo synopsis, what their beauty pageant talent would be, the Grief Store, Diamond Dallas Page Yoga, and paintballing.  Of course, all the weekly awards are given out (except for the Goofus Maloofus award, we decided to give Matt a pass this week) on this week's INSTANT CLASSIC episode of Reliving the Lights: a Friday Night Lights Rewatch Podcast.
