Blend in 4 c. white flour. Whisk or beat till very smooth. Whisk in 1/4 c. melted margarine. Gradually add in the rest of the flour(up to 4 cups initially). Add what is needed of the remaining 2 cups of flour, using some on the cupboard to flour surface, until the dough is smooth and elastic and a tad bit sticky. Knead for 8-10 minutes total. Raise in a lightly oiled bowl, covered with a tea towel, until double. Record time it takes to double. Punch down, knead again for a few minutes, raise dough again in same manner, for 3/4 of the time of the first raise. Punch down, knead for a few minutes, shape as desired and put in oiled pans. Raise till double. Preheat oven to 400 F. Cook bread for 15 min. at this temperature, then 15 min. at 350 F. Take out of pans, put on bread racks to cool, butter the tops of the loaves immediately.
