There is a desire and a temptation and a need, even, to network or associate with the right conferences, to meet the right agents, to submit to the right festivals or the right contests, or be part of the right writers groups, or to have the right social media platforms, to have enough followers, to gain followers, to have a following so that you look better to publishers. I mean, there's so much pressure that goes beyond the craft itself. And it can be exhausting. And overwhelming. It can literally induce fear. We feel like we are missing out or failing all the time. And what are we supposed to do about that?
