TRANSCRIPT · AUTO-GENERATED

But I was only doing 62, 63 and a flashed. They're flashed. Maybe someone was going past me, I wasn't paying proper attention. It's a night.

That wasn't me. Yeah. Camera's fine. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, you're welcome.

You're listening to the all talk car podcast. See you guys, do it. It was catches on the early bit to see what we're talking about. And that was the voice of Chris Bors.

Oh, welcome. Now, now. Thank you very much. We're outside collector again.

Because if you hear the clicking noise, it's the cigar. He's outside. He's outside. He's outside.

He's outside. He's outside. He's outside. He's got two mics to the back.

Yeah. He's been in a wall since we've been a collector. We're trying to block this way, guys. Chris opened the doors for us tonight.

We're going to provide you. It was awesome. I'll swag in part in the driveway. We should excuse me.

It's a Bentley. It's a Bentley owned by Volkswagen. I did it. Yeah.

It's a Bentley. I love that car. But when you start, it sounds like an air-cooled Volkswagen. Excuse me.

No. Come on, Pete. That was your car, the start. I'm going to talk about a rivalry.

I turned up my 968 tonight. We'll talk about my favorite portions. One of my favorite portions. We'll talk about a little bit.

Let's have a look around. By the way, the Tupper Week is the Mazda optional side skirts in front of the guard. You know how they always do it one later? You know how one does?

Let me just check the wheels. Scuffed? All scuffed. I was wondering if there was a genuine one later.

The only thing we had to do here, guys, is yes, redo the wheels and remove the make-up from all the passenger area. I'll say the wheels. Yeah, look. Why won't you drive the car?

We're going down to redo it. Sorry, we're going down. Hopefully she doesn't listen to me anyway. When she drives the car with a black headlining, this make-up.

They do their make-up in the car. They do. It's a convenient place to do it. And the sun visor is the mirror.

When you open it up. The question is, is mobile phone, looking at your mobile phone and doing make-up the same category of unconsciousness? Sorry, we're jumping, but I think this talks about what I've started doing in the car with people driving. So back in the day, I would always use to catch my phone when I was driving and I'd sit myself about a year and a half ago after seeing some pretty horrific accidents.

I'm not touching the phone. I'm either going to plug it in and put it in the center console or I'll go to the holder for it and I don't touch it. So I'm pretty conscious. I'm conscious of it.

My kids are conscious of it. And I still think that whole mobile phone holding whilst driving is a problem for the people that I've ever heard. I'm driving out of the station. So what I'm starting to do is, every time I see someone, that's on their phone, I get my son to get his phone out and film it.

And then I wind up on the window and I go, it's decades like you. I'm going to throw it in front of my kids, of course. If I'm by myself, I'll just kick it out. He was literally driving on a Victoria Road with his knee and he was texting with two hands.

I mean, first thing I had to text with one hand if you could drive. He was texting with two hands whilst driving down Victoria Road. I made him one of his windows. He had to go to 2006.

No, it was a Mazda... What was it like? No, it wasn't a Mazda 3. It was a Mazda 3.

It was a Mazda 3. Yeah, it was a Mazda 3. Yeah. He goes, you're two to be as far as in your lane.

I said, it's decades like you that kill people. Because what I mean, it's totally fine. Kill if you fucking burn. I think we would do a lot of that.

We got a sketch in the hood. We're really pissed at it. Sorry, five points in yourself, at least. It's five points in the hood if you're fine.

And they're rolling out those cameras. I mean, it is a distraction. Especially if you're driving. It's a serious problem.

It is. It is. And it causes massive acts of vehicles. It's, I'd say it's the for us.

It was drink driving, right? Don't drink diode. It's going to be for us. They're killing people.

I understand it. You know, using Siri if you're an iPhone user, whatever the equivalent is on the other side. You know, you can do a lot of actions just talking to you. Correct.

Call this person. Give me your car. You've got voice activation. No one uses it.

It's serious. It's pretty good. It's serious. The car is the idea I'm saying.

It's probably sitting German. Who knows? I'll change a few of the settings. I'll go check.

So we've got a few cars here. But there's one car that stands out for me. As a kid, you've got that one car that you're looking at. There's a 90.

What is it? A 90? 88? 87?

Yes, it's really light. TC. Top cab relay. It was the convertible of BMWs 3 Series Descentron.

Cool car. The back door. The back door comes out. And my very first sports car was a Heroine and I led it to fuel 3.5 laps.

That led it to 4.5 laps. 87. It was an amazing car. I loved it so much.

put up $39,000 in the 80s. Wow, mighty good. Wow, no, sorry. It was 1990.

1990. Did you pick up in it? I did not pick up it. I was married at the time.

I did glad you got the back stage because I had to take my wife to a hospital to the vehicle. I had to take my wife to the hospital to do the baby. So, uh, uh, I did a lot of that. That's a really good line for others of you.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The one I like is the Brabas. You picked a very interesting character. Four four, it's called, if I were, if I were you are.

Yeah. And it's a Brabas, one of 15 Australia. Because Brabas never came to Australia except for the smart. Correct.

And this is done, it's got it's kit on it, the engine's been redone, it's got some tricks inside in terms of cool. It is glistingly quick. Has it got that bullshit gearbox that the confortibles had in it? No, it is a full manual gearbox.

It doesn't have a give up where you change it. That's called a spord-o-manic. Actually, Paul should introduce that. Really?

Yeah. He's the A-class candidate. He doesn't have a C-series. The A-class had the fun-shoot.

It was called. I had an A-190 in its day. Did you pick up in that? I was engaged.

But actually, that was what I got about that. It was an A-190. It was a five-speed proper manual. Like, no, no, no, no.

And you couldn't stall it. If you try to take off your third, it would just jump, but it wouldn't take off. It's got all the features, you know, moon roof, cool exhausts in the back. It looks mean.

So, you pull the parts off of the other one? No, it's not plastic. No, I used to pull pieces off. Oh, two.

Yeah, two. So, that's a real German balassorm. I think. There's an AMG, one of the very first AMGs.

Talk about balassorm. It's an AMG right there. It's a CLK. It's a CLK.

55. Unbelievable. It just doesn't stop. That's a five and a half.

That's a four and a half. Not too much. The AMG, the CLK. Sorry, the C32.

I'm going to have to see 32. They dropped the 32. Yes, and they brought the 55 out of it. Did the CLK come with the 32?

No. And, mind you, this car, class of car, in 2013, it is, you're talking about $10,000 to $15,000. It's the biggest bang for buck. The problem is, in the hands, it's sold now.

We sold for about $4,500. $12,500. Yeah. That's $160,000.

In the hands of the junior members of our community, it could be a danger. Can't drive on your face. Good. Look, over the old cars, the car that's not being restricted.

This is the motor. You know, I talked about getting the classic Mercedes-dropping motor. That's the motor I wanted to do. Right.

That's 55. Imagine that motor in like a triple one. Yeah, yeah. Look, that's a hot rod.

That's a hot rod. The next to it is surrounded by Italian beauty. And that's the only one I could say about it. It's just the beauty.

The other one may have. It starts with everything but unfortunately, you know, the Italian things are all opera and sound but I thought it would be the stuff that stuck it together isn't so good. I think it's claggy. Yeah.

But behind that is a Ford Thunderbird. Yeah, that's cool. 700 feet long as it takes up all those phones in the garage. Yeah, but it is.

It's charging double commission for that. It's charging double commission for that. It's charging double commission for that. And behind that is actually the BMW.

Is it a giant Ford? It's an old Ford. It's a giant Ford. It's a giant Ford.

Not an old Ford restaurant. Two tails are just doing it down the bottom. No, no, that's the normal. That's a hardy tail.

It's a white tail. Yeah, it's a white roof with a mud off white mud. It's a clay car. The next one is completely restored.

No, it's a resto-moded beetle. Not a restored beetle. So the engine's been done up. It's a pop-joy motor which has got more power than the standard beetle.

You know, suspension's been upgraded. It's $48,000. It's completely unbotted so it's the ratio. No, no, if you can get your motor.

You wouldn't be able to do it anyway. Have you said that the FJ's built a couple of years ago? No. It was a...

It was three wipers. It's like a semi-trailer. It was so wide. It was a tribute car that they did.

It was factory. It was based on the FJ's. It's Shazu Vaprado and it had the suicide doors at the back. Right.

So it opened the front door and there was a suicide door. Yeah, it was a little sticky door. And the roof is so low and the windscreen's so wide. It's got three wipers.

That would become a car car. Yeah. Anything of that sort of design. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

They got a free car. Oh, they got a cigar. It's rolling down. They're on the roof.

What you tell their rocks? It's like a green air. You're asking here. I mean, they get to know it.

They went for a while. But people think, I mean, yeah, there's a lot of cars that turn over. There is. I think we're that sweet spot where it's your first collectible car.

Yeah. It's a faggy niche. Yeah, it's the 20 to 30,000. We're not talking daddens.

We're not in that category. We can't walk you. You can buy a nice car. You can come in here for a 10 grand.

And buy yourself a cool looking car. The one that I, I mean, I've exhausted my shopping budget, but that Honda legend. That was an immaculate car. You see?

It's in a cookie car. Yeah, that is a cookie car. But we'll see. All this and pop stars and exes.

Yeah, that's a good for an E2 category. Yeah, we get real category. If you've got low K's, well, this guy's got like three or four of them. I'm hanging to look for an E2.

When I was 17, remember the exit? Remember the exit? Yes, I was 17. My dad said I was hanging up.

We weren't allowed to buy the E2. That's one of the auctions. Why? Because it was too dangerous looking?

Because I had the word turbo. That's not a sticker. I'm putting out the title about things like that. We should just say it's a pulsar.

Yes. So we weren't allowed to buy two. Those 80s, Japanese cars are absolutely collectibles. They are well-followed.

People want them. It's an another regret. It's funny when you look back. Three, four years ago, there was an NSX or 48 grand.

The NSX was the target one. That's the horse's vodka. They're 180 tonne of grand. I saw one.

Sorry. NSX. Did they release the new NSX? No, they released the new NSX.

It's out, but it doesn't only sell probably one. They're here, but when they cost close to $500,000 they're going to sell. Yes, what? Corvettes.

Yeah, it's the one that's all. Yeah, Corvettes are about to release in Australia, right hand drive, a mid-engine monster. We spoke about it. Through G.

Through Hold. It's built by the factory, not by the way Comaro and Edge is where you are. It's built from the factory, so the Corvettes are probably the initially. It's a big car market, it's having a bit of a change in money.

It's a change in money. A lot of others in my unit. A lot of dealerships. The market's down 20%.

The cost of money. People were trying to get money. Well, each car just off loaded all of their parametrials ships to sign down. It's on the whole lot.

It's on the whole lot. Wow. Which is quite interesting because it was uncovered. It's the first, I think, for Simon's the first Volkswagen dealership I've ever owned.

They bought a van over. They bought the parametrialship. They bought a lot of what? Right.

So it's quite interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a change in a minute. But they've had seven years of record years.

I'm sure they've done what they've done with their profits. But all of a sudden they were crying for... Some of them weren't even warranty claims. Yeah.

Yeah. But Chris, I've got my 968 tonight. You saw it. You know, Pete, that was my very first Porsche.

No, sorry, Pat. No, I'm not going to have a 944-S2 cabriole. That black one. Yes.

And you bought the 968 tonight. That is a unbelievably designed car. The 993 Porsche, which is now one of the favourite Porsche's to own, was designed by the same designer. Yeah.

And so you've got that classic... Yes. The 911's have bought that they've gone through the roof from years ago. But there are also cars that were sold through the recession.

Yeah. So what do you think of these cabriole's in Australia? Not much in the productions. Yeah, exactly.

Yeah. Porsche on the brink of going under the box to save them in the mid-90s. Isn't it funny because you wouldn't even drive a box to know, would you? No, the box that came in at an affordable price in the verticomas, like my 968 brand new was $180,000 in 1993.

Oh, right. $180,000. Not the issue was, was the border Porsche was still vehemently supporting the old 911. And did not want to change anything.

The 903 was the last hurrah for the classic 911 line. And the 996... 996. 996 came in, pardon me, in 1998 and changed the world.

The production numbers quadrupled. Really? Quadripled. Yeah, because the emissions standards with the water cooling are going to allow it to get into different markets.

But it changed the shape of the whole car completely. And so Porsche hung onto that, low production numbers. Then they got new designers in, new board came in and opened up. The box was one of the first things you saw.

The box was saved a minute after that. The can't get in. Don't kind of like what Porsche do. They don't flood the market.

You know, you go, let's say you go to the SUV market, you've got a little bit of a... Let's say you go to the SUV market and you're looking at a Q7, X5 or a KN. You can't buy a KN because they got a little bit of numbers. You need to order one.

And we're going to order seven this month because that's all we're allowed to order. And I like that. I like that. You can buy the Q7 today and tomorrow we'll take off 15 grand because the other...

The new models just come out the face, lift of the face. And on top of that, they won't price-gauge. Like they make a lot of money with their limited edition GT3s. GT3s.

The factory does a price-gauge. What happens on the second end market is... Porsche is out of control. They know that they could make an extra couple of hand on each car.

What Porsche are very good at but is the added extras? They will cane you pretty heavily on the other side. Oh, it's like a slackies. They will.

But again, you know, you want something with all the wheels and whistles you have there. Well, I was quite lucky last week. I got to experience 24 hours in a micah. How did the micah go?

We talked about what we're going to do. It was probably a safe driving car, right? You didn't feel anything that's... What's about it?

Okay, I'm going to give you a quick run-in. You go first. Firstly, first... Yeah, because I'm going to get slammed.

I'll take one of my cars. Firstly, I'm too big. I'm too tall for it. It's just in fillers like there's enough space.

Leg-wise, because there was no space behind me. Yeah. But as a car to drive, it drove beautifully. Yeah.

It drove very differently to any of the other European cars I've driven because it actually stays straight. Did you feel like you were in a quad? No. Why the badge was there?

The badge was there. You're not getting a quad. You're not getting a quad. There was no...

Okay, if that was my car... Did you hit the sport button? Where's the sport button? There's a sport button.

I didn't hit the sport button. But I want sound. I want noise. I want to drop down a gear on to be cracking and scaring the shit out of it.

But that, that, that comes with the price. Right. So if you take, if that thing had an exhaust, which you can't get, then it's a great car. It's a beautiful car to drive.

The tech in it is at this world. The Porsche is phenomenal. You know, Porsche is a little bit personal. I listened to...

I, I, I, I found that I could listen to a radio station in another country. We went through all the countries. I was listening to Afghan radio. It was Afghan radio.

I was listening to it. It's through the sim card that you listen to radio. So I was listening to, or was I listening to it? Sphera FM, which means...

Or Cyprus. Is that Cyprus? And in Greek? Or translated that means bullet.

We loved it. We loved it. Kids loved it. Kids were a bit excited to get picked up in the Porsche, not the multi-vamp.

Yeah. Because the multi-vamp went on the cruise. Did you modify the car? We actually had a joke.

I had a photograph. I had a photo ready to lower it, slam it. But what I was going to do, which Pete wasn't going to know about, I tried to hook up with, I guess from a few weeks ago, I rang him, but he wasn't available. I was going to get trained to tune it.

No. Oh no. Forgot. No.

I was going to get trained to tune it, but he was not available. I would have to get a terrible point. So. No.

I was going to say we, there were six of us in the multi-vamps. Six. Six. Six.

Six. Six. Seven. With the camera.

How was it? And. I don't know. At least.

I'm going to forget. So can we just lead into them? It's not your stand multi-vamp. This thing is the addition 70.

It's got two more for it from factory. Oh, you know, you've got the Alcantara seats. And I've made a few modifications. And the seats were comfy.

They're very good. For a two and a half, three hour drive. How's not equal, you have to go to the chiropractor. Because someone has put 20 inch wheels on it.

Well, I left you the 20s. But when you got like, do you know that's all the wheels? What's that suspension? It's taking a 190 milliliter of cool over there.

I hit the ring roster to find the cruise control. Yeah. Because it's fully low. We found the cruise control.

That was great. It's kind of great. I didn't use the engine. But the engine was two.

It's a two and a half. One point. One point. One point.

One point. Maybe it's a great engine. Plenty of power. That's how it's tuned from each.

On the way back and over to me. They found the blinds. I hope you got the four. It's four blocks.

You found the bed. No. It was in the back. There was the swivel seats.

There's an intercom. If you pull the visor down, there's a little thing there. There's a microphone there. Are you kidding?

I talked about the back and over. What if you need a multi van as opposed to your mechanic? Because it was six of us. It was all in the half of us.

Don't want to go in six of us. Yeah. The high beams. Did you change the lights?

No. They're the brightest lights. No. You changed them.

There's a little bug. There's a little bug. That was like you stole a light from this. You put on the front of your car.

These high beams. I thought if this is factory, because the mic can'ts were good high beams. Right. If this was factory, this is the best headline in the world.

It's got the full LED treatment. No, no, no. It's there. It's there.

It's there. Everything amazing. You know what's good about headlights? They're following you when you turn corners.

You know what's that? I was looking at the side window. My Cadillac Eldorado 1966 has got that option. Really?

Absolutely. I've heard of that shit. I've heard of it a long time. When you're putting into sport on the gear stick, then you're pointing to drive on the dash that goes into neutral.

It goes neutral drive. That's good. Yeah. So I know if you're in neutral when you go from sport to drive.

Because I was mucking around with it. It's speeding up to shoot in that car. It's got 200. Yeah, I know.

I know. And the other little touch I like because it was one of the fleet. If you look at the key, you had the number plate. Oh, I've got all my number plates on the key.

That's where you're from for the fleet. I like all of that. I like all of that. I like all of that.

That made it easier. I've got all of your cars in my pocket. Did you see? You didn't see this.

What are the stairs? Oh, yeah. I had the sort of something between the two fronts. The etching of the man as a player.

It was a great car. It didn't feel big. No, it's nice to drive. It doesn't feel big.

It doesn't feel big. I mean, I've driven a few of it. I've driven some van for work. It's a sureable van.

I'm driven some van. This did not feel van-like. I drove a key accountable last year where the key accountable for a week went to Queensland. I can't.

A key accountable. That felt van-like where the multi-van did not come out. It was a good 24-hour. So, at least you're kicked.

I know. It's a box wagon Bentley. Excuse me, the video games are going to get a different designation on them. First line of the Bentley's.

What was the car? Skid. People were the skudders to go up. The skudders got their bros in from the Bentley.

It was like the umbrellas in top of the door. Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Rolls-Royce has only got the one's indoors. Excuse me.

He's headed. He's headed. Excuse me. It must be the opposite because my percette are 36.

They used to have the umbrellas indoors. The new percette doesn't have the only one. Very cool car. I'm going to put it back in the back.

So, how's the Bentley going? Bentley's an amazing car. 6.75 lit a twin turbo. 6.75.

6.75 is the 6.75. 6.75 is the engine that was probably started in 1954 and continued with the variations around it. It is still produced for the molesane which is the biggest car. That's the previous car here.

Of course, there are two Bentley's. There's the Continental, the Corrector, the Continental and the Flying Spur which are the two door and four door. Main and journey, flat-packed with the engines, B.W. engines, centre crew.

That's a different to be assembled. Whereas there's two crew Bentley's, two English Bentley's, the molesane. Sorry, the only one. Molesane, that's it.

Molesane, four door. Corrector. This is a four door. A nudge.

That's from T. Go Fast Pack. With the update front end. The poverty pack only costs 600,000.

It's a 275,000. It's got the quilted seats. It's the cool car. It's the modern.

It's still a nice car driver. It's an amazing car. It still feels very modern. It's like Star Wars.

You press that pedal and you're going very fast at no sound. Yeah, it's still one of a sudden. Yeah, yeah. It's funny because the Continental, the four door is a real, Danny Black, all black looks like a little mafia car.

It is. It's obviously got less features of the four door Bentley that's granted in England. The Flying Spur is the poverty pack of the Bentley basically. And they sell very cheaply, second hand.

Yeah, they do plan it. Yeah, they do plan it. I've looked at it. The molesane still, they're still hanging around the 300,000 molesane for a second hand one.

You can pick up for 100,000, 90,000, 80,000. Is yours a black label? No, no, black and red labels were the designations for the BMW engines, which Volkswagen had a contract with because, as you know, BMW and Volkswagen fought very heavily for the single company that was one, Bentley and Rolls-Royce. But they split it in half, the wisdom of Sonoma, they split the baby in half.

Volkswagen won Bentley and Rolls-Royce won BMW. Sorry, BMW won Rolls-Royce. And so, you know, for a while, that was two in cars. They were twin cars.

Now, the only thing that VW actually hung onto was the Silver Ghost in 1901, which they just sold for $40 million US in the US. Barak Jackson? No, probably, probably. Oh, I changed.

So, that was $40 million. Just one deal. A lot of cars, you can see a lot of Volkswagen's facility, good $40 million here. That's two.

So, while I think it was going on... Very controversial, so not your art. BMW was still making the... Look at the shit, it's already controversial.

Anyway, BMW was still making engines for the Bentley's... The lane is right in the front door? They did get the rights to the name. That's right, there was a few problems.

Very much. And that's where the confusion between BMW's supplying engines for Bentley, which is the 4.4-litre engine that they supplied, and eventually, Riles Wagon made a Bentley engine. The issue is that the only issue, they bought the name and opened the company. So, the one that said they could build Riles, they couldn't call them Riles, right?

And who owns the airplane engines? No, it's a separate company altogether. They called the Riles Wagon. Riles, Riles, PLC...

It's a separate app. They actually sold it on the four-litre. It was good. It was good.

It got you in the exhaust. It was good. Too much to have a plug? Yeah.

It's on the exhaust. Yeah, the exhaust. I've got it. But you don't have the exhaust.

It's on the Netflix. The Tesla Netflix. This is the demo. It's the end price.

Here we are. What's the beginning? Anyone's going to come up with a YouTube video explaining all the differences. What's the next one?

It's the easy to get Apple TV. Signing to all of them. And watch TV. No, you've just got to watch TV.

You've got to smart TV. You're too very smart than you. It probably is, actually. So, you'll be able to get Apple TV inside.

Just get Apple TV inside. Okay. Okay. You've got to watch TV and it just means it's everywhere.

Oh, and then you're subscribed. Okay. It's not really cheaper than you. But what do you subscribe to?

You're standing in the flicks. You're down low. It's there. Oh, I see.
