#41 LukeLikes「Well, Dressed」

from ENGLISH TALKS for beginners · host LUKELIKE

Luke Likes 'Well, Dressed' Well, dressed, well-dressed, well-dressed? Dressed, dressing, getting dressed, that's very, very confusing in English. It is confusing to get dressed in English, I suppose, get undressed, because you get dressed first, you get dressed, so you put on, put on your clothes and then you wear them, you wear them all day long, you take off your clothes, you get undressed and you want to dress nicely every day, every day. Very confusing, too many words and too many dresses. Dress is a very different thing. So how about we clear this, clear this up a little, clear this up with a few personal questions? Here we go, so question number one - do you think a lot about your outfit before you get dressed, get dressed in the morning? So the question is very simple, I spend sometimes a little time, but mostly I try to spend as little as I can, so no I don't spend much time before I get dressed.Simple. Question number two - do you put on special shoes around the house and do you take them off when you leave? Put on your shoes, take them off. So no I don't put on special shoes around the house, I hate slippers, you might remember that I hate them, and I don't take them off, obviously I don't take them off. I do take off shoes around the house, yeah. Alright, question number three - do you dress differently when you stay at home and when you leave your home, do you dress differently? So, I do not do that, usually I try to pick, I try to pick the outfit for the whole day and usually I do not change, I do not change when I stay at home. So no, I do not, I do not dress differently at home and when I leave, but I do know that some people do it, some people do it. Personally I do not, I do not. Question number four - do you have your favourite colour to wear? Do you have your favourite colour to wear? I do, I do like everyone, like everyone, but also I try to wear some different colours when I feel differently, so yes and no. I think I didn't answer the question. That's alright. So I wear different colours, but usually that's blue, let's say my favourite colour to wear is blue. And here is the last question, question five, very controversial - do women have better taste, better taste when it comes to fashion and clothes, wearing clothes? Yes.Not that controversial, after all, after all, not that controversial. So get dressed, put on your shoes, wear them around the house, take them off if you want and dress casually the whole week, that's the whole story. Yeah, but remember, never take off your hat in winter, that's just unhealthy and dangerous. Yeah, remember that. Yeah, and wear a jacket. And don't forget to put on your boots, boots, yeah, winter boots. And the gloves, yeah, don't forget to put on the gloves. Oh, and the scarf, the scarf too, put on the scarf. Wear the sweater, all of that. Don't go out. You know, maybe just stay in by the fire, by the fireplace, stay in. Well, it's your turn now. Embrace the day, people! ------------------------------------------- Intro/Outro Music By: Joakim Karud - Longing License: Creative Commons License
