41. Navigating Relationships With People Who Play The Victim

from Thoughts on Thoughts · host Kristjana Reid, Taylor Thomas, Jessica Miller

We've likely all come across people who play the victim, whether they are coworkers, friends, relatives or maybe even ourselves. People who portray themselves as victims manipulate to get a desired outcome, specifically, to get attention or get some sort of gain from being viewed in this way. Maybe they view the world as being against them to avoid taking responsibility for their own actions. Whatever the case, navigating how to handle relationships with these people can be difficult, so in this episode we suggest some ways that you can go about it. Please note that we are not talking about people who are victims of trauma or tragic events- that is different than living your life with a victim mindset that the world is against you.   Follow us on social media for more free tips: Instagram- https://www.instagram.com/thoughts.podcast/?hl=en Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/thoughtspod/ Twitter- https://twitter.com/thoughts_pod
