41| Small business chat with Kenya Brantley, lifestyle store owner & interior decorator at Greenhouse Mercantile

This week, we’re keeping it local and I’m having a conversation with the owner of a shop in my hometown of Newnan, Georgia.  I love speaking to small business owners, especially those who are women of color, because it takes a lot to start a business, not to mention a brick and mortar and I think it’s so interesting to hear their stories. A couple of weeks ago I talked about the importance of supporting local businesses, a few reasons being that it helps build the local economy - it’s estimated that for every $100 spent at a local business, about $68 stays within the community. The owners are our neighbors, so we know that they care about the community and are invested in its future.
