41: The Different Roles in a Recording Project

Who will write the lyrics? Do we need a guitar part in the bridge? How will we record the drums? Who will edit vocals? Will we outsource mixing or DIY? All of these different tasks and questions can start to seem overwhelming - especially if you're a completely solo DIY artist. We've found that it can be very helpful to break this process down into different groups of tasks and, instead of thinking about "people", we will think about "roles".
