Have you ever played a new game with a group friends and you start having beginners luck? At some point, there's a veteran player who starts telling you all the things you can and cannot do. You ask, "Is that a rule?" They respond, "Well, it's an unwritten rule. It's the etiquette of the game, and it's a respectful thing to the other players." You end up accepting and start trying to accommodate your game to the unwritten rule...BUT, wait a minute?! If it's not written down and you can't refer to it. Why are we following it?!
