畫說漢字/圖解《說文解字》/1000個漢字的故事/東漢許慎原著辟（bì）“辟”是个会意兼形声字，本义是打开。“辟”的甲骨文字形，下方是两个“手”的形状，上方是一个“门”，合在一起就是一个人用双手开门时的情形。小篆中的“辟”的字形，变得比甲骨文中的复杂了，也成了个外形内声的形声字。之后楷书的“辟”字，则是由小篆的字形演变而来。“辟”现在是个多音字，读“bì”时意思为“避开”，如“辟谷”；读“pì”时则为引申为开辟、开拓之义，预示着新局面的到来。（用双手打开门，开辟出新局面。）
