42: Katharine Birbalsingh and Inaya Folarin Iman: Immigrant pride in British values

And writer and campaigner Inaya Folarin Iman says identity politics discounts humanity and its sheer potential and possibilities. Katharine came to prominence a decade ago at the Conservative Party conference, when she spoke in support of the party's education policies. She slated a "culture of excuses, of low standards ... a sea of bureaucracy ... [and] the chaos of our classrooms", “because it keeps poor children poor." Katharine confronted the prevailing culture in education to setup the Michaela secondary school in Wembley.
