420: Lez-ssentials Bly Manor with Kristin Murison

Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) sit down with Lez Hang Out’s newest team member and resident Bly Manor expert, Kristin Murison (@therealksparkle) to talk about The Haunting of Bly Manor for this Lez-ssentials episode, a recurring segment on the essential movies and TV shows in the lesbian canon. We talk about the visceral reactions we experienced when seeing Dani literally haunted by her compulsory heterosexuality. We do a complete scene by scene run through of Dani and Jamie’s relationship, including a spot on reenactment of the proposal. This is Bly Manor if it were just Dani and Jamie’s love story, minus all of those pesky ghosts. Ellie reads many of the hauntingly beautiful quotes from the show and Leigh and Kristin take turns having emotional meltdowns. A lot of feels are felt by all.
