Scripture: Mark 6:30–44; Psalm 23:1; John 10:11  Jesus and his disciples are searching for a quiet place to rest—but thousands of people follow them. When Jesus sees the crowd, he has deep compassion because they are like sheep without a shepherd. In this episode, children will hear how Jesus miraculously feeds more than five thousand people with only five loaves and two fish. They’ll discover that Jesus is the Good Shepherd who sees, cares for, and provides for his sheep. The disciples could not perform the miracle, but Jesus invited them to participate. They brought him what they had and trusted him to do what only he could do.
