425 Life for Life
from The Cottage Hosted by The Cottage
We @TheCottage explore how the ancient people of the Bible to whom God was speaking understood the Scriptures to show us how God was speaking to them yet communicating to them revelation for all of us even today even if in their context. In this session, we continue our series on Redemption following The Bible Project. To best understand biblical redemption, one must understand how it was used in the Bible. The use of the term is concentrated around the Exodus and much of that theme we've already explored in our previous series. Then we explore its use in the biblical jubilee. One other place where it is highlighted is in the Passover. We explore it as they would have understood it so we can make better sense of it ourselves. Now, we begin to add the language of Jesus and his mission that goes back to Genesis and God's principle of life for life based on humanity as God's image. We are laying the foundation to discovering the riches hidden in the ancient Scriptures of God's people to learn God's way of doing and being in our daily lives. Stay tuned for our future episodes as we continue to discover more mysteries of the Bible in the sessions that follow.
