In this week’s episode, Kayla and Taylor discuss the second half of Isabel Allende’s 1985 novel The House of the Spirits. Topics include Jean de Satigny, Count of Kink, realities of revolution, and the power of women (Transito Soto for president??)This week’s drink: Pisco Sour via liquor.comINGREDIENTS:2 oz pisco1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed½ oz simple syrup1 egg whiteGarnish: Angostura bittersINSTRUCTIONS:Add pisco, lime juice, simple syrup and egg white into a shaker and dry-shake (without ice) vigorously.Add ice and shake again until well-chilled.Strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass. (Alternatively, you can strain it into a rocks glass over fresh ice.)Garnish with 3 to 5 drops of Angostura bitters.
