43. I Stand Amazed

Do you know this hymn? Do you know it as I Stand Amazed? Or How Marvelous, How Wonderful? Or My Savior's Love? This well-known hymn goes by a few different names. We hope that you will enjoy learning about it, with its confusing titles, and its hymn writer Charles Hutchinson Gabriel. From Charles's meager beginnings on a rural farm in Iowa to the big city of Chicago, he is one of our most prolific hymn writers. This hymn came in as a request from a listener in Wisconsin who participated in our Hymn Talk Twin Talk trivia contest.
