436 Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures

In June of 1979, Joy Division released their debut album. It became the first LP put out by Factory records and the first of theirs to be recorded by Martin Hannett. The record's use of space, odd percussive effects (see compressed air) and all around dark mood puts it far and away one of the greatest debut albums of all time and became an harbinger of the shape of post punk to be.
