Welcome to the help of the classist, I am Jeff and gentlemen sitting next to me as Doug. Don't please explain what the hell patent troll needs to be. Hello, yeah, we're gonna get a little serious. We're gonna be the beginning of this episode.
No, I'm sorry for this. O'Faxx are listeners and it affects us. Patent troll. Patent troll.
What's going on is there's a company called Personal Audio and they bought or fell across the patent, which the description of is very, very loose. But they want to patent and have a president about their ownership of the word. Yes. Mm-hmm.
Yeah, no, they can eat a dick on that one. So what's going on? So what's going on is they went and they looked at the top 10, like, you know, big people on podcasts on iTunes and they are showing out on Corolla. That's actually pretty funny.
Mostly because I don't know that. Well, if you're not on Corolla, that's hilarious. I don't see them winning on this though. Well, here's the thing, Doug.
Well, one of the other giant, giant monsters of podcast is, don't you? Nerdist. No. No.
Mary. This is American life. Which I don't know if they've gotten letters the way that Nerdist, Marin, and M-Croll, I think it's M-Croll Entertainment or ACE, the ACE network. Like I said, like, I don't know, but I mean, this is American life, was like the number one podcast for eternity because they were a very early adopter.
And I imagine- Don't fuck with KVN. I would imagine Ricky at your base as not gotten this letter. So they're picking and choosing which is really shitty on its own. But what's going on is that there's a trial date set for September.
And basically, if they win, and I read the patent description and it does describe podcasts, but in a way that if you were to say, describe and say, Hey, Deb, I'm going to get this patent on visual sprites moving from A to B. Here's the thing. Hold on. Okay, hold on.
Moving to A to B. That's video games. I own video games. They can either pay me- So what do you talk about this is too thick?
Absolutely. It doesn't calculate on podcasts in terms of episodic content, it's put to a server remotely, so far so on. I mean, everything we do meets the requirements of this patent. I think they're going to end up being a dick on this one.
Sorry, Doug. Well, the issue is that part of the issue is that M-Croll has spent $50,000 on attorney's fees, training at the venue moved from the personal audios hometown of Texas, or on basis of Texas, to get it to a neutral town because basically personal audio runs this town. They know the judges and the juries, it's a huge boom for that town. You can't get a fair trial there.
You can't. You think iTunes would be more involved in this one? Well, personal audio is already taken on Apple in terms of playlists, and they settled at a court for $8 million. Basically, what patent trolls do, you were asking me off air what a patent troll is.
Basically, what a patent troll does is it finds a lucrative thing that's for free. They're all going to patent this or buy the patent or whatever, file it, and then sue. And the thing is, it takes a year and a half, it takes, I'm sorry, a year, it takes $1.5 million to go through the litigation process. Most people will not do that.
Apple was just like, find whatever. Here's $8 million. Just leave us alone. Adam Corolla, Nerdist, Earwolf, Ace, us.
We don't have that. Well, here's the thing. No. Do they move the venue?
No, they do not. Because I would imagine it's some kind of attorney home field advantage that's where the motion was filed, so it's there. I don't know. I'm a lawyer.
When I take it down, I can tell it. But basically what's going on is if they win, personal audio wins, they are going to own the term podcast. They're going to own the kind of the quote-unquote technology behind it. I think there's too many other patents in the way.
Well, they file literally, I believe, a year ago. It's a retroactive patent, which is a bonus. I think there's too much technology in the way. There's not a lot of internet legislation.
There isn't. Congress sent the president, the president actually Obama came out and talked about patent trolling. And now we have to set presidents, which I completely agree. What if they win?
What's going to happen? Is there going to own podcasts and the big fish and small fish really? We're going to have to pay a stipend to podcast. We have to pay a stipend.
Well, and that's the thing. What's going to happen to this fringe community, we think it's, I mean, to us it's mainstream. I listen to nothing but podcasts. I don't know what it's meant to be.
But I mean to us, literally on this couch, it seems mainstream, but it's not. This isn't a couch. Say it. The love seat.
Is that what you're looking for? Yeah. It's a hate seat. This isn't a couch.
My partner's not big enough to read it. Oh, the couch. That's kind of my point. How are you going to afford a couch when these people are going to be, you know, if they go, any money you make off of it, which we're under.
The money we make. Well, now the VACN itself is completely under the radar. VACN itself has never earned a dime. Exactly.
And they can't charge us for, or they can't take off. They can't get money from the money we've put in. But if we were ever to escalate to the point of say, air wolf, ace, nerdist, living in some of the smaller companies, they would say like, you always like whatever 5%, or whatever it is. The number is not important.
It's not established. My point is that this is very important to not only our listeners, but to the people who do not only our listeners, who I hope is in other podcasts as well as we do talk about like I said, the Nerdist and Comedy Fang Bang and Nerd Poker and so forth and so on. Go to it's www.fundanything, if you and the fund anything dot com, backslash pattern troll, and donate please. I'm not asking you guys to do anything I haven't done.
I have actually already donated. And you get a hat, you get a shirt or whatever, you get a live, you get the audio of the fundraiser with Benson and Kevin Bean and Andy Summers from the police. And it's a great cause, so I just want to start off the episode. I'm sorry, it's a little serious.
But you know, I really didn't want to have it at the end of the episode. So please, fundanything.com, backslashpatentrol. Once again, I'm not asking you guys to do something that I haven't done, I've done it myself. I just poked my evil twin.
Okay. So let's continue with things that are disappointing. We're gonna move after it. We're gonna move past my evil twin.
Yeah. Yeah. We're gonna move past. How I met your mother had it serious, Vanilla?
Ugh. Yeah. Let's go with a big go fuck yourself on that one. Okay.
Um, I'll like to complete on this. Why big go fuck yourself? I think I have an idea. And I might be in the same ballpark.
I cannot believe, I realized when you started, you had an endpoint in mind. You had a good point where you didn't finish it in mind. That after all of the emotional growth you had your characters go through, you're just going to throw it all away in a 40 minute period. One character specifically, which would be Barney.
You have him doing all of this emotional growth and learning to be a different person and a different human being. And then it's just gone. It's just done. Well, no, that's not fair.
I mean, Robin's job ground on him. I mean, we're grained. Yeah. I'm sure you don't like Guy Fieri.
That's not what's gonna happen. Marko. Um, I talked about this on, on this week's dam. Barney's daughter was a huge emotional trigger for me.
And I thought that showed a better avenue for character growth than his marriage to Robin. How did he end up with a daughter? I'm protected. Okay.
At the end of a perfect month. Is that what you're going for? Don't get me wrong. I love the plot line I have with his, his the first time he ever felt, you know, pure and true love being his daughter, his daughter being loved his life.
I love that idea. But how they got him there was utter bullshit. He and Robin were going to divorce. You knew that.
You knew that from the Exploding Meeple episode. Neither one of them are wearing rings. Okay. You look at me like that, which is, you have this.
I found it to be a completely and thoroughly unsatisfying and bullshit episode. Also, looking Ted, looking like oddly enough, Ted Danson with the great hitter at the edge holding a blue French horn. Fucking kidding me. I am not thrilled that they had him come back to Robin.
No. Not really at all. I like the MacDuffin, like the red herring from the first episode, and that's why I made her and Robin. But to have the kids go, come on, we see how you do our like, and Robin says at one point, I think we're right before the wedding where it's like, no, no, no, it's not the family where she says like, what is the gang my married friends, the guy I should have ended up with, or Max has been the guy I should have ended up with.
I mean, they telegraph it the whole way. Also, I've had a big bitch about them spending any entire season making you fall in love with the mother of Tracy and then just bam, she's gone. She's been dead forever. That was an internet rumor that, why me know that that was something they did.
I still think it's lazy. It's lazy writing. I really love. It's the same thing with her being sad and not seeing anybody for X amount of years while Ted's at boring around.
It's lazy writing. We have. Yeah, no, we've talked about that. I completely agree.
That said, I've all like a baby. I've all like a baby. Barney's daughter, the mom dying. I mean, she was this mythic icon of the show and to have to have him telling his kids the story of his life and who he became to be able to be the person to be their father and who he had to be come to meet the mother and then the heaver like he goes, the minute he says, and then she got sick, I choked the fuck up.
Choke the fuck up. It took me over 24 hours to get over that episode. Like I could not. The next day I would still choke up talking about.
Way to keep her as a magical unicorn guys, which is weird because that's one of the albums that Ted found in her room, the unicorns. We'll cut her hair when we're gone. I want to hit you with my whiteboard right now. Only because my fucking nerd brain is awesome.
No, because that episode maybe not mad. The one where you see her ankle? No, no, no, no. Finale.
Oh, um, I like that. I, I, I, there were aspects of it I didn't like. Like I said, I, I, really... I'm so glad apparently my life is going to be a closed circle from my twenties to, you know, when my spouse died.
My sixties, yeah. Also, I really wish they would have had puffs, I get the older Ted. Thank you, by the way. Because did you notice that Josh Redditor took over the narration on the finale?
Yeah, it was, it was him narrating as opposed to Bob Saggot. I was like, oh, come on. I said I would have loved to have Bob Saggot the older Ted. Because he don't see Daniel's turn in wonder years, right?
No, never. Yeah. So come on, give, give us a, it's like the guy who needs some money. Come on.
Yeah, he's got his residuals from Full House. And America's funniest Tom Jack off, yeah. Okay, let's talk about things that made us happy because if I just keep talking about this. Yeah, let's.
And we just went from down to downer. We're on Mars movie, finally came out and we had waited forever to talk about it because we just didn't have enough time with our guests last week. And you, well, before you hadn't seen it. So yeah, Deb, I know you got me to run a Camars.
Once again, I will let you take the lead on this. I'm just going to have to talk this entire episode. No. To the Veronica Mars movie, finally came out.
No. Okay. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved it.
There were quite a few kind of almost unfinished things that I felt in there. But I mean, that's kind of Veronica Mars. You never really get full result. I do like that.
Thank God. Thank God they didn't take the movie as an opportunity to go back and investigate Lily's death again. I was a little worried about that. They never got into the college cult, did they?
Yeah, I'm okay with that. They did have a really funny reference though to how do you think of the name of the family? Lily's parents? The, um, I want to say drinks by something, right?
It's something prestigious like that. But Mac has been going to work for them. Well, Mac has been going to work for them. That and the fact that they've basically, they've laid out that they've divorced and the wife is the one that shoots Weevil on accident when he's trying to help her.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was the point that never got, sorry.
That was the point that never got resolved was, you know, the shooting of Weevil and the corruption of the police department. We got to. Because they got the fact get from stem at me out of there. Cherry of Connell?
Yeah. Did you think Weevil's arc, did you think Weevil's arc was a little shitty? No, I thought it was completely. He goes back to the back game.
Yeah. Yeah, it is. The end of it, he's in the hospital still. No.
He drives up on a motorcycle motorcycle. He's the one who has motorcycle. But like, no, like in a group, like he gets out of the hospital like half of the movie. Are you sure?
Yeah. Same thing I had to watch it again then. Yeah. He drives off like with whatever they call them, the, um, an RPCers, but um.
He's the H. He's the Hers, yeah. And he kind of like defaults and you're like, what's weird? Because like that's one of those things.
Because you're like, oh, he's a mechanic and he's got a kid and yay. Like Weevil got out like you're happy. But he's like, oh, they always pulled me back in. No, they didn't.
No, they didn't. At any point did they not do that. They did something that I appreciated, which is her dating piss. They did explain the movie that they hadn't been together the entire time, that they reconnected about a year before.
She had gone back and they had been dating that entire time. You want to punch something? Yeah. No, no, I like the fact that they didn't have them dating the entire time.
Because it's completely utterly unrealistic. Yeah. Go ahead. Her and Logan, I have never liked him.
I'm saying her and Logan, I never liked him. It is not Star Cross lovers. That's bullshit. It is convenience.
It is codependents. Whatever they, yeah, it's buffing spike breaking the house all over the place. And I completely agree in terms of drama, it's great. But realistically, if this were not in real life, she would not have blown off.
She would have blown off. She would have blown off. Nobody was off dating the Curtis. No, she has impeccable intesinals.
Exactly. Thanks to, not you. Play what is it? That's trivia?
No, no. Activia. There we go. We'll get there.
In real life, she would not. I mean, she would have been like two or three days. I'm out. I'm going to go bone the guy that works at K Rocker or whatever, because he's doing it.
I have never liked her and Logan. It's always been... She was a really destructive. The trigger for her staying was for probably getting injured.
Her father hadn't gotten injured in a governor's hospital. She was going to have stayed. No, it's because it was the continued exposure. Like I said, she'd just been in for three days and nothing had happened to her dad.
She would have been out again and it would have been fine. But since her father was injured in the perhaps sure station incident. That kills what's the thing? Yeah, that kills my stash.
That kills my stash. How about his head? That kills my stash. She had this day.
I did feel pretty bad for Gia during all of this. Did you... Okay, this is... His life be worse.
Your dad is a molester pet of vial who ends up what? Up in a plane? Yeah. Yeah, ends up blowing up in a plane.
And then you end up in this really... Okay, we're going to be blackmailed during the time of life. Let's just... I'm going to say...
Spoiler, somebody's... I'll say spoilers. And we're actually, we're not really going to say this. Of all the actors in this entire movie.
The bad guy. Was Martin fucking star. Who the fuck saw that coming? If you watch Pardee Down, if you watch Silicon Valley, that comes out last week.
This guy is not a bad guy. If you watch a knocked up. Yeah, no, Martin's not a bad guy. He's not a villain.
But then he's like, well, I'm just going to say that I'm going to buy the apartment across me. I'm going to destroy you. I'm going to snipe you. He kills what's her name?
He kills Gia. He kills Gia. And he fucking like, stocks fucking Veronica. Like, it was goddamn Jason Voorhees.
Like, crazy time. Well, he said no. He just wants to, I'm like, poor Gia. Your life has just sucked from beginning to end.
Like I said, you had this... I was up to that rich high school years when she got pirate points. Yeah, when I got all taken away from her and she became a social braya. And then she ended up getting blackmailed for the rest of her years.
And everyone was, if you're not saying it's gay. Yeah, she was the big one. What's his name from being human? Same, Martin.
Right? The American being human, not the rich one. There's just like, damn Gia. Can life suck even more?
Why don't you get shot in the gut by a sadistic sniper who may or may not be a kid or... Go on interrupt Thomas. May or may not be a kid or...? I like to imagine that it's the same character from Pardido.
That he really wasn't mad at his blackmail being exposed, but he was mad because at some point they talked about soft and hardened, science fiction rather. Because then Pardido is a huge fan of hardened science fiction. What's soft science fiction? Star Wars would be a soft science fiction.
What's hard science fiction? Star Shrek. Things that, not to be a Spock about it. But the things that kind of follow a logical scientific tenant.
Okay. That's a post-doc. Reuse the idea. As opposed like the Force.
Space magic. You know what I mean? You used the post-doc. Soft science fiction.
You used the post-doc. I like Star Wars one in Star Trek. This is not a secret. However, when we were in a circle back around, Ron Kumar's movie, I really, really loved it.
It did everything I wanted it to. It was not out of character. It had the exact white number. And she punched what's your name from the first existence?
She punched her. Cut for her. I've been running during punch Madison in the face and seeing for a second. Original enough for you?
Was that the line? Here's the funny thing about that is that now that they're all grown up, if you remember, there was an episode where it's exposed that Mack and Madison were actually switched it back. Yes. So I wonder if they ever dealt with that at all?
You know, they can't put everything in the movie. No idea. I'm just saying. It was one of those things where Mack and her actual her biological mother had a weird moment together.
They didn't near the end of that episode. They said, but I mean, it was never discussed or talked about it ever again. I had to assume it's very much family secret. Let's just move on.
Yeah. You've got a good life. You've got a good life. I mean, Mack really did have a good life.
No, Mack's a great life. She has a good life. I hang job utilizing her skills before. If when we move off of Ron Kumar's.
I'm going to go to bed for about two seconds. Well, we're about to about five seconds. Because I do want to say thanks to Shepherd, Cameo. Oh, God.
He cracked me the fuck up. You knew he had to be in. I was waiting for it. He was being the douchey guy before.
And he's all like, hey, nipples, penis, hey. And she goes, ew, press. And I was like, you have a baby with him. I was just one of those things.
Were you imagining they met home together with their daughter and you're like, I bet you guys are pretty awesome. I bet you guys are digging around, watching party down, making jokes. Was her she from Bell? Party down?
Did she came out? She did. She did. She did.
She did. She did. I'm in question. Did I say question?
I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay.
I'm okay. You're a reserve. I'm the one you need. But I'm just saying, I imagine their phone life is pretty normal.
If you see autopilot, what I can do? I'm not going to do it. Sorry. I'm sorry.
I go. So I actually have a random on-sektor. Throughout the whole episode, I'll just talk about the autopilot and then by the end of this episode, it'll be fixed. So I'm going to make some gestures at you and then I'm going to talk about something that doesn't involve you.
Point down. Wall. I don't know. Yes.
I got my pivot, which is a little motion and sleep monitor I wear on my left wrist. And I got my- I got my measure. I got my bracelet. Yeah, my top bracelet.
It's been a year since I got it. And there are times when I have not used it as much as I should. But I have to say, my year-long review of the product is overwhelmingly positive. And even it's something like, I cannot.
I cannot use this leap information. It's just one of those things where most of the time when I fall asleep, I'm not coherent enough to remember to pop it in the sleep mode. So yeah, I was going to say, so when they figure out how to get it to automatically pop in the sleep mode, I'm totally all about it. But I loved having this.
I loved actually being able to monitor how much I move and use it in my fitness. And frankly, if I didn't have fit, then I probably would be so few. I would dig to the ingress. I would dig to the ingress.
The cause and solution to all of my problems. Wait, that's not ingress. That's alcohol. But like I said, overwhelmingly positive.
I love my fit. I don't know what their new product, the force is like. But if it's anything like the one I have the flex, then I think it is so- The force is over calling it? It's fit, force.
It's not be force. Go ahead, save us your name. Shoot grads are only three meters across. Warm grads?
Warm grads. Okay. I don't have you- Oh, memory's not well. For me, it's more empire and Jedi.
I'm done. Damn it. Step left's our fit thing. News flash.
Done. I know I actually photoshop it. I don't photoshop it in, but when I do photoshop you, in all the variants. Oh, you guys can see it, can't you?
I guess I never even think about that. That weird black bracelet on my wrist is my fit. It's not- It might as my keep my- Keep dug a live bracelet. Don't get dug a little.
It's not gonna stop. Give me a penicillin that I want. That was a jerk down. Okay.
Yeah, but they don't know that. Fine. Doug, do you want to tell them what your allergy is? Anesthetics.
I'm a lignant hyperthermia. It's a genetic- No hyperthermia. It's a genetic allergy that's passed down. My grandmother had it.
My dad's got it. I think one of my uncles has something that hyperreactor. I am a hyperreactor. Don't give me a heavy pen.
No become a be fine. It's a joke, Doug. You just keep telling them not to save my life if they were ever in that position. Fine, Doug.
Let's do a brief PSA. Don't give me the guys to the dentist. That'll kill me. Let's do a brief PSA on what we can't get dug.
No, we already had our serious moment. We'll do a joke at the fucking end of the segment. We won't. So let's continue on the downer drain.
Walking dead finale. Oh, really? We're skipping whatever that- Okay. I'm just popping around so it's not a dead- Walking dead finale was not a goddamn downer.
Oh, he's more of a T-U because walking dead is not a particularly uplifting ship. The fucking finale was. For fucks sake, funnily, funnily that I'm okay with. They finally- and this is- this first part is all for Ryan shooting the gat- Somebody spoilers.
Somebody spoilers. Somebody spoilers. This part is for Ryan shooting the gat-co host who does not like character development. He doesn't like- let me rephrase that.
He doesn't like- he's got a thing against character development. He is not about character driven stuff. He's more plus driven. He doesn't like character driven drama.
He likes blood driven drama. Yes, he converts the faster paced blood driven- It's the difference between a drama and an action place. Yes. That's fine.
Yeah. So sometimes- So you have- Sometimes you just want to turn it- Well, you have the episode. I'll do this as kind of a preface to the finale. We talked about last week though.
What the fuck episode? Ermigurr. Ermigurr. Grazebitch.
I don't know how to say that in Gersbrohn's voice. I'm gonna change too. Oh, okay. Don't snap the baby.
Don't- I don't know what don't snap the baby. I don't care what they say apocalypse. Don't snap the baby. But I mean episodes and episodes before that, when they have them finding the baby carrier with blood in it and you're just like, oh my god.
It's Tyree's finding the dissected wrath in the tunnels. It's the fact that early on in the second half of the fifth season- of fourth season rather- that the characters- one set of characters are kind of like half an hour or an hour or whatever ahead of the other group. Yeah. And the first group comes across- literally written as a flashback system.
So first the first group comes across like a log of the hutch with little live bunnies. And then you see like later on the- no, I'm sorry, the first group comes through with a hutch full of like bloodied bunnies. And then there's like a flashback to the other group that went before them and they're like, bunnies. And like, Lizzie's a greasy bitch.
We covered this last week. I could do a whole episode on Lizzie's a greasy bitch, by the way. My point is that- She's developing a police label, all right? She just doesn't understand.
She adapted- She adapted differently. She adapted wrong. Do we get wrong? Oh my god.
Hashtag, you're doing it wrong. They're gonna start a meme, aren't we? With pictures of her with the fuck that she did. That's what you're doing.
You're doing it wrong. It's actually not about her. But Ryan did- I mean, he liked the episode where Lizzie kind of lost her goddamn mind. Or finally came to the head of losing her goddamn mind.
No, no, no, no. It's the realization that it's gonna happen anyway. So- But my point is that they leave the train tracks and find this grove. Everything fucking happens in this little farmhouse.
And then by the end of the episode, Terry's and Carol come back out onto the train tracks, move towards Terminus. Thank you. Yeah, but Judith. I'm like- No, no, no, no, no, no.
Yeah, the baby's still alive. Baby's mine. Well, probably malnourished lets me honest. But, yes, baby's fine.
And Ryan was like, what the fuck? They didn't go anywhere. And I'm like, yeah, not physically but emotionally. It was a lot.
It was a great episode. Sorry, the problem was they didn't physically go anywhere. Yeah. The fact that they've been teasing, sorry, I mean, since I believe the second or third episode, you just want him to get the turn to see.
Just want him to all come back. And to become- One's gonna become a Euro enemy plot driven art. It has its place. I mean, you and I are gonna- We can get there.
I'm not quite the comic. That's not what the comic's about. The comic in my opinion- Is completely character driven. Well, it's very character driven.
It's also just about the hopelessness of the situation. There are plot driven- The stonways are not the walking dead. No, the living art. I mean, during the comics, I mean, there's- It's also just happening now.
Some of the plot driven stuff, I mean, I would- A lot of the stuff with- I would say right when I dropped off was- Alexandria and Meagan. That seems kind of like an overarching- If you can imagine, it's like onion layers. I would say that it's kind of a plot driven versus character driven second layer type of thing. So it's kind of both, but- It's character driving the plot, so you still have the action and the development.
Let's get into the finale. They find that- My point is that they finally get the terminus. Right, it's happy. They've all walked where they need to walk.
Um- You didn't like over the rings either, did you? Probably not. Um, I don't know. I don't know.
I don't know about it much. Um, so- He- They'll get the terminus. She went to shock this thing. She's wearing it's not what they thought it would be.
Uh, that's not- By the way, it was dumb enough not to realize they were being herded when they were getting shot at. Did you see it? Yeah. Did you- Like, did you honestly think- Like, if you looked at like where the bullets were hitting- Oh, no, no.
After the- It's like, people think it was a like- No, after the first- Far the July power thing. It's like the first volley of shots, and like, you know they're being heard right, and my friend Tony was our guest last week. He's like, uh- Well, and there's something I want to ask, uh, I believe it was, uh, uh, Scott M. Gimple.
That wrote the episode, right? We really wanted to ask where the title of, um, the episode came from, which was A. A. Little letter A.
Now they get herded into a train car, where they made up with the rest of the group. Save for a couple? What are they gonna get that? But uh, save for a couple people.
Uh, the group has been basically reunited in the train car, uh, label A. Uh, when you come to Terminus, it is literally a place where point A needs point B. I mean, it's very much- Okay, here's what I think. A is being a alphabet.
They have- they're coming together, kind of re-emerging, like- No, that's why I think it's called A. Yeah. It's a new game. It's a lot of new game- It's a new beginning point.
We're now at a new point A. And Rick says- Also, maybe A for pretty little liars is there to be your mysteries. No. You have Rick kind of reconciled, um, kind of the pacifist farmer wanting a better life-frame in Carl in this apocalypse.
Versus the brutality he has to embrace to keep his son and his loved one safe. Um, if you saw it, you know what I'm talking about? He had a dude's throat. He stamped the guy repeatedly who was going to rip Carl.
Um, and I have- I have a daughter and this is not a secret. I shudder to think, um- There'd be a lot of stabbing. What I would do, yeah, it's my daughter was put in that position and I was there. That brutality that Rick portrays, while graphic, I am- I believe it's completely justifiable.
Um, especially as they're kicking the fuck out of Darryl, they're gonna- And they say we're gonna- We're gonna kick Darryl with death. We're gonna rape Michonne. We're gonna rape your son. And then we're gonna kill you.
And I'm like, in that order, I'm gonna bite your fucking throat and shoot the rusty motherfuckers. It's really one of those things where they said we're gonna kick Darryl with death, and I'm like, no you're not. No, because if Darryl dies, half your audience goes with you. Um, whether it's guy or girl.
Okay, as a lady- You can't kill me, he's a boondock-sick. Like I said, as a lady, I totally adore Darryl. It's blue. But no, not even necessarily because of that.
It's not no so much of that. He's attractive. It's that he's interesting. Absolutely.
He's resourceful. He's interesting. You want to see who he attaches to, what his mental plan is. How do you feel this?
And with the- Becca again, it was like one of those- He didn't like them, but he knew- He needed them to buy a mask. He knew from the prison. I need a group for S temporary, as it may seem. I need a group- No, it's fascinating.
It's not that you want to watch- The techniques he uses to survive- Then anything else. Claim. I honestly thought he would claim a breaking commission. I thought he would claim them.
And said like a protective, like a patronist, so to speak around them. Yeah, that's right. I went Harry Potter and fucking walked into- What up? Exterialist.
No, that's the- Come on. Blit together. Sit together. It was called Do My Girl Works last night, because I say so often.
And they're early somewhere. So, my point is that you have Rick at the very end of the episode looking through kind of the- The slats. The slats of the- The train car. And in the comic- I remember this.
I remember reading this line and saying that the very end of the episode- I'm sorry, issue- where it was- I believe the- I want to say it was a two panels spread on the page. Where- No, I'm in four. Where he's looking through the slats. And now I've said it in the show, but they say it very close.
I'm sorry, they didn't say it in the show, but it's very close. But in the comic, he goes- I feel sorry for them. Why? Because they're messing with the wrong fuckers.
They can't say that on the show. But he says- in the show they go- They're messing with the wrong people. And I'm like- And they're going to determine this fucking- Rick, the dictatorship is back, but in a good way, I mean- I- I admit, I'm still sad. They've never done these straight up- and it happened in the prison when it happened.
Rick head down eyes closed, proclaiming that they were the walking dead. I think he said that before and passing maybe the- to her show or- Like I said, it was a key scene in one of the issues. Where are the walking dead? Right, it's right after he killed the first person for the first time.
Not the first zombie, but the actual first human for the first time. Shane? I believe was the first person he killed in comics. First human.
But like I said- And he takes them up to re-kill them. After he realizes that they reanimated. Sorry, go ahead. Exactly.
Which was really, really interesting issue actually. Well, I really liked how they did the show. It's one of those- It's one of those proclamations though, where he's just like, you know, we're the walking dead. We're the time box.
This is not going to get better. They're talking spin off already. Which I'm not a huge fan of. That idea but- But I really want to see better console.
That's a different spin off than I'm doing with that. My point is I really want to see what's his name, the comedian. Um, you know, home topic. I didn't mean throw you off topic.
Yeah. Sorry. Hold on. What's the name of the comedian that's saying that?
I don't know, it's escaping. But how's it's it? Bilber. There we go.
Yeah, I really want to see more of Bilber. But anyway, in better cross-all, not walking dead either way. And you know, breaking bad is a walking dead people. Did you know that?
Everything's a walking dead people. Theoretically, yes, but technically when they start unloading a Darryl's, I'm sorry, a Murrell's pockets. He drops a bag of drugs and there's blue meth at the bottom of it. Spin off.
So, yeah, I mean the whole thing with walking dead is that you're only seeing this- No, it's- Max, maximum, what? 1520 people. It's a very narrow view of the internet. In Atlanta.
What's going on and they talk about this with Eugene and Abraham. Which by the way, since they started Atlanta, I keep waiting for them to come across the adult Twitter card to get work offices. The 50-80 offices. Yeah, exactly.
Certainly. Certainly. We're only seeing these 1520 people in Atlanta. What's going on in DC?
