In Episode 44, teacher and author Dawn Menge takes on a magical journey through her books, which are all based on real-life adventures. Learn more about her award-winning stories, including the Queen Vernita’s educational adventure series based on her real-life adventures with family, friends, and students. Through her books, readers go on adventures around the world. They get to swim with dolphins, sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, and seals. Readers get to imagine holding a baby alligator and a seahorse. They learn about Jazz, plantations, slavery, glaciers, volcanoes, and so much more about the world and our own history. Dr. Dawn Menge has won over forty-one International awards as the author of the Queen Vernita educational series. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master's Degree, and a Clear Credential in moderate/severe disabilities. She has been teaching students with severe cognitive delays for over twenty years and continues to serve as a lecturer and mentor.
