So start? What are you doing? What's that? What are you doing?
What are you doing? How are you doing? Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. You're listening to the old talk, car podcast?
Morning, afternoon. Good evening. Well, they could be downlining it, God knows what they are. I apologize, I've been absent the last couple of weeks.
I want to be polite to our audience, so they can, when they get introduced, they're happy and feeling great, when they're listening to the podcast, while their wife is asleep, or when they're going to work. Or in bed while their husband's asleep. That was me referring to all of them. The women, there's an old three, were yours is one of them.
She's not listening. She's just assuming. So was I mentioned this episode? No, I mentioned this episode.
So it is, I've got lots of tones of Ross joining us tonight. How can I make it? We've also got my brother, George, on tonight. Halloween tonight?
Halloween. 31st December. No, no, no, no. 31 October.
31 October. We'll take the end and we'll probably upload it tonight. So Halloween night. It's kids out.
Usually I'm in Vegas for Halloween. My bags are packed and going tomorrow. The end of the first week and they've ever went last week covers Halloween. So there's a lot of photos of me dressed as Steve Irwin.
So Pete talked to me this year. Same as this year. So this year. I can't wait.
Media Passes came through. It's a very strict regime. It's got a whole list of Australian companies to see. More importantly, he's got suspension on wheel companies and exhaust companies to see for me.
For my new acquisition. Picking up on your orders or maybe you set wheels. He's got a bring back. So I've got a spare bag.
I put the bag within the bag. We've got two bags when you travel to America. So I've already got to find, so you've got an app for Seema? It's got a map.
So when you're walking, it gives you directions how to get to one of your life map. Is it so you can type in, I'll go to HR E's. So I'll type in HR E. Finds the stand.
Tells me how to walk there. One wheel each. One wheel each. One wheel each.
One wheel each. One wheel each. One wheel each. Yeah, one wheel each.
You want the carbon ones? I like ones because I don't want to pace this way. Yeah, it'd be fun. They would have to be, I mean, I bought thousands of wheels in my time.
I've used a lot of furniture to handle that. But the numerous sets of HR E wheels I bought, they're in American built wheeled. They're forged in America. Yeah.
They're just phenomenal. They're just phenomenal. They're just phenomenal. They're just everything about it.
Even the way they packed and delivered and they just awesome. But have you lifted a carbon wheel? No. I went to the company using a super light.
And they're bloody expensive. Well, this is a company that's selling carbon wheels. So I picked one up and showed me how light it is. And I acted like it was about to drop it.
Oh, my God. He wasn't. He wasn't. They got no sets of chemo.
They tried to sell stuff there. I acted like I was about to drop it. But they're super light carbon wheels. I guess they're strong.
But, you know, I wasn't strong enough to cry. They're strong enough to cry. Or ram it into a gun and see what it looks like. You imagine having a carbon fiber set of wheels and your wife takes the car and you're going to do that?
Fuck, you'd be pissed with that. Although it mustang. Ah, there's a mustang in America with carbon wheels. No.
I think it was a giant company, Australian company that supplies forward my stomach. Yeah. I think it was showing me the list of seemer exhibits. I only threw it because I know that it did yesterday work.
And there's a lot of Australian manufacturers that have made it on the level side. You've got DBA brakes. Yeah. I'm going to visit some of these guys.
Is it Turbo Smart? No, what's that company that did? What's it called? They used to do GFB.
I think it was a story, buddy. Oh. Hell yeah, it's almost. It's essentially.
But there's ARB, the full drive company. They've got a big prison-patriant camp. There's a lot of companies there. I'm going to meet up with some of the...
There's one company that I've organized to meet up. It's their first time. I'm going to surprise them. Put the interviews up next week.
So we'll have some Seema specials. That's the purpose of the trip. Oh, then that's... Just say, no, we'll also be listening.
We're doing...no, no, not this year. It's also only on last year. She's in there. I'm not sure.
She's in there. I said, I'm a Donna's plane next week. No, I'm not. That would be the worst.
A 62 year old printing round stage. She's probably about disabled spot at the front too. Maybe 20 years ago. Yeah.
40 years ago. I don't think. So we're doing duties? We're doing duties?
No, no, no. No, no, they're celebrities. We're just going to do activities. We're going to go through that.
We're going to go read the past all weeks. They've got to recognize me. And we've also organizedatten. Ice hockey.
What? What? It's not going to say you'll be the first. No, not going to say you'll be the gold in this evening.
No,no, puck is going to get through me. Yes, we're going to do ice hockey. They're going to do blood. I'll do it because I see.
Hopefully we're running through the couch too. What? We were my family love. My kids love basketball.
We went to the States last year. Dabbie, what's the like as playing? We're going to do. great seats don't worry about that has anybody ever seen how expensive it is to go to a basketball game where the Lakers are playing the Celtics and it was some celebrity like celebration game it was so expensive like I've never I remember looking at the price of like eight thousand Australian dollars for decent seats well no I've been so not those believe and then knows we know in those we because it's all I could afford and I think still think it cost us a couple of grand for the family great good good you'll love the ice bucket yeah I can't wait yeah just for the atmosphere I've been to a baseball game I've been to a Yankees game where I went on a honeymoon to the States or a lot of years ago my honeymoon someone else's that I'm okay I was like that during the best and the camera and the camera the ladies boys ladies boys like you tonight so we went to the Yankee stadium in the dollar when we were on it was you know one it was a month before nine eleven or there he was and the dollar was forty nine cents so everything was still pretty cheap but it was like two one but it's like if you go to any sporting event like a bottle of coke is like four five dollars well that's how much it was in that one in it forty nine cents a bottle of coke was eight Australian dollars and that's all it is never because we met up with our best man he was living in New York at the time he said I've organized the tickets so I'm he's so I felt obliged to buy the food I thought it made us good you would be shipping but I know but I was a little bit about $120 tickets and we're in the sort of far away let's see if we catch the ball section already yeah no like 120 bucks it was a Tuesday night with forty five thousand people there it was like a nothing game that's it's like a lot of this population everything is good and every city the bidding for the NFL that big foot seems of that so that's tomorrow we're packing up that bag of packed actually and can't wait yeah I'm not doing anything I'm not doing anything to me but you look after the ship it yeah you're a mature I'm a real deal to you're there two months ago seven forty a thing we look similar I hope that I kick me out like I get back I'm kidding about it so we kick you out too but together really pass sorry I wasn't on yeah so um you went shopping I'm shopping what do I for what it's been you've got something and something's on its way the thing that's coming on a truck the fingers coming on a truck would you I've never had so many people that I didn't even think of my friends call me up and now that you're my new friends you're a new pool I'm a boat a boat and I honestly I've had random phone calls from people I've never been to this guy come with a phone call from my guy like hey buddy how about I did I didn't even know this guy that what you saw no one was gonna be my phone hey guy go go go I remember I kid you staying out back in the day I'm stuck together yeah and I thought maybe he's like the stopping jersey yeah so hoo the crowd funny boy but I just hear it's all from that's another story but I was away from Western Australia who gets to Sydney on a track so go I keep such good mates I'm telling you now my son's 12 isn't saying he's going seven years I'd be really good say hung out together and went fishing on my boat okay I'll give you a buzz where they're at what's the body what's the sport of Riviera in 400 and what's that in Carto it's a 40 foot it's basically it's a sports cruiser so you compare it to it's not like a fly bridge with fishing rods and all that kind of stuff on a fishing boat it's not an SUV it's not a compact you know runabout it's like a coop it's like a Bentley on the water I bet it is a Bentley yeah so Riviera is the like yeah I got my money it took me a lot of fine the boat yeah 11 years on but that's okay how many they make it these boats 50 worldwide in Australia 49 400 I think there's two two sank in one minute one quarter fire and Russell Ingle took one that was beaten up and getting more than I got a car to drive it did Russell ring your second I come on the boat yeah nice to keep some but he did amazing restoration of this boat so my attention's turned from cars to boats and I tell you what different money far out I say the best two days of playing your boat I'm excited yeah yeah but the families we're excited to go to the family I've really booked the weekends away in a new year the fun you got your bill boats I should stay a bit big and I'll make it away what I feel so it's Riviera I was in a Aussie company Riviera is a Australian company I don't know how many years ago but I think about eight or nine years ago when the liquidation and or went into administration okay and then it was bought by a gentleman I can't resume they're up on the go they're up on the go they're up on the go they're up on the go they're up on the go they're still making boats and I've actually been the book yeah I'll win I was in magazine publishing they were a client and I'm the original and just everything about you I mean you've been so yeah but they're so I think I was telling you Pete oh yeah they're they contacted me and said look heard you bought it so the factory's still ringing they know got from spare parts and the guy from customer service rang and said heard you purchased it from the guys and see me and the guys in WA and they're really good you know they're going to history the boat they sent me plans for the boat when it was originally purchased from the original owner it was built for the original owner there's a few tweets and a few things that you know the reason your beds be here is because the guy wanted to be a bit more of a so they're custom built so when you buy it when you're worried like about this let's pick this Riviera is a hole in the engines all the same and then you get to choose from what I can understand this 400 for example I made 430 was for the time in you know between 2005 and 2009 revolutionary because this was not a normal boat this was a sports cruise this was a boat where they built it for the rivers of Brisbane and for Australia and it was more about people getting out so this boat's got a lot of outdoor space a lot of partying spaces really wide bent really wide boat come with a lot more like that yeah comes a lot more full history than I was though it's in hours yeah so and then you got a great love hours and I saw some really I've been looking for months you see some really good low hour boats that look like the wind with that you know what's going on that oh the guy never the guy never used it but he just left it at the marina and play on it okay okay so the hours not really you know the generator hours the generator that's on his got like 3000 hours like this is a party boat so mine's got 300 hours on it the guy really used it he was a so what'd you buy from what from us in Australia he was a coal miner who's a gas emfitter on one of the coal mines and you know obviously the water's happening over there so you got to drive it around the bike well we decided not to we were so the boat was probably yeah 35 40% cheaper over there we looked at so many here in Sydney now just getting snout so you bring it across well we put on a truck if it's not just it's on a truck so we we waited till so Perth had their boat show no longer and there were a lot of trucks from Riviera going over and there were a lot of trucks coming back empty so the trip the trip the trip is an expensive trip so it got loaded on the truck two days ago and it had it went on the truck quite wide so obviously try to send out for a couple of years but you know there's a guy that they brought in that did the full system of movies because I was chuffed through my way I don't know okay so this you know there's a pilot car up the front and one of the back since there's three vehicles they constantly sending me photos of all the post on the on the page of the city for today did they ring it was a problem with the fridge there's a big problem with the fridge so you know I can't there's a huge problem in the direction now it's like what's the problem what's the problem so I'll just have a photo on that stopped at the the guy that I the dealer that told me the bike obviously his commission was huge he's stuck the fridge with the nerve okay so okay so what I bought a book I was on getting out of the phone get to you I'll let the generator off my wick of the I was like I'm gonna get a case out of the car so when you bought it so when you bought the boat you could get the option of a twin Mercury or twin though Cummins engines back okay so twin Cummins V8 or you could go the D6 diesel Volvo which is currently still used today I'll try to diesel because obviously I want it to be so the engines are under the floor they just run the floor they they they turn drive so it's so so there's two different types of drive so think of an outboard mother yeah the bit of the the upboard bit on the top it's actually inside the boat so there's two of those there's two of the eight's diesels there.
How many litres? I think about it when you're servicing it's not all the problems. I think it's eight litres eight point two litres eight point two no we're gonna have many litres of fuel. I don't ask those so you haven't filled it up yet.
That's diesel. Do you need one of these vouchers? Like what do you get for? I just went from big to happy to the saddest I think it's actually 2000 litres of I think it takes 2000 litres of fuel.
At $1.8 no fuel prices. It's extra on the one. Okay and how long does that last year? They say you should get a summer out of it.
Oh really? Yeah full summer so they say we don't have cruising in Cine Harbour. So if you're like every Sunday with the Palm Beach for lunch yeah it just cruises around not hammering it. Not hammering it?
You'd probably get a full summer out of it. Oh okay yeah a couple of grand again full full. Okay so you're not running it to empty every day and filling it up too. Unless you are because every time I use the take his boat out you know he wasn't satisfied until the tank's empty.
Oh yeah. You don't have full throttle for the harbour. You know your reputation to have modified. Sorry start.
You don't know what the boat? No sorry start. All the courses have come off. You don't have any suspension.
No no so you're not with the men on the water. So the mods are ready. The mods are ready started so if you listen to this regularly and if you don't what you fuck should be. You know they'll love my drugs.
So I've ordered the full marine kit so on the dashboard I pulled all the analog shit out. I've ordered all the rain rain stuff so I've got three 12 inch screens across the front. One of them is dedicated to the drive and I've got an antenna on the roof which is for the drone. So we'll DJI first of all it's more for fishing but I'll fuck it's cool so we get it.
DJI have tried to venture with the rain marine and basically allowed you to control the drive which is really good because the controller for the drone is quite cumbersome sometimes looking at the phone. This actually comes out on the screen so you can drive the boat and send it up but what it does is it allows the boat to become your moving landing so it'll always land back on the boat. We've got a boat license right? No no no no we've got a four boat license.
We've got a four boat license. We've got a training bike. I think a perk for it. So the boat came from it.
So the training was in Perth so we've got a goal course. The boat came from Perth. Obviously the dealer's a blower. So there's a guy in Sydney who from Riviera and Sydney's going to get it over the marine and get it set up for me.
It's so important to have good company on a boat because once you're on that you can't get off. You can't leave early. You can't leave early. He's getting cool.
What a taxi. Yeah right. Of course we will throw him off. It's true.
Yeah it's exciting. And then the TOCAR. So you need the TOCAR? What kind of boat?
Does he have anything else to tell it? No but while you're on the question there, you said the entry will go as well. The entry has been sent to his guy. The entry has gone.
Actually don't own a car at the moment. We're not going to talk about the Range Road as well. I've got rid of the Range Road as well. I've got one year old car.
Do you want to straight? Straight to the dealer. So the Range Road has gone. M3 will be gone hopefully next week because the guy is buying it.
Actually don't own a car. I've got them all. I've got them all. I'm borrowing it.
He wants to the fleet. She's in a Q5. She's in a Q5. So you've got the K in coming.
What are you going to do next year? Well I love the M3. I love everything about BMW. I did the whole G63.
I'm not paying $350,000. You did look at it. A fridge on wheels. You did look at it.
Actually let me drive it. It was shit. It was so cool. It was just noises.
It was just noise and then they said I had to. But do you love car salesman right? I'm looking for something that's like my M3. What about this diesel S class?
What says sporty about a diesel S class? I said I'm going to fucking movie drive up. It was a four-litre. It was a three-litre.
It was a Harry Charles. It was not over the HC. I'm going to be full waving at me. I've walked with him on the boat.
They ended up ordering on third on the list. On an X5. Not the five-litre. The new M3.
X5. Yeah. So does it take a lot of time? Yeah.
So it's an X5. That's my science. It's an N5. Fully loaded.
Fully loaded. This is literally been double bites, now you can get competition back which gives you more power. And you can get M mode which you buy from the factory which is a tune. So if you ever said to go if you were listening which you fuck it should be you were listening to Trent Deimos talking about your car.
Or BMW or tuning cars. Wow. From the Ant Factory. So you get a choice of M.
Our RS. RS, you pay extra D limit to under the speed limiter. So the RS6, for example, coming with 250K, you pay extra D to 280. Well, yeah, I don't think this is based on speed though, from what I read, I'll translate it loosely in general.
It's actually, it's got a huge jump in kilowatts. It's almost 1000 Newton meters of torque. So as soon as it does, you'll honestly have a drink and can produce that. I'm gonna get to about 1100, my two rig had 1000 Newton meters of torque and that, you know, my two rig was a monster.
I do regret selling that car. That was a really good, that was a really good, but I was one year old, you had to get rid of it. You can't get rid of it. Now, finally you say that, the M3 next week is two years old.
So it's the longest car I've ever had. Yes, it's actually the longest car I've ever had. I've never had my nine year old to get to me. And I said to Ross up, I'm glad he got that X5 in, because you've ticked the right box, it's gonna be a great second-hand car one other one.
Yeah, it's a whole different car in the middle. He's still in the middle. But there's no option, the only option is, I tried to get a 7-0, they're not like, they're not trying to get a 7-0. Yeah, which is fine.
How long's the delivery time? It'll be delivered last week of March. So five to two months. Which is not bad.
So I've already spoken to KW. I've spoken to the agent here in Australia. I've spoken to City Performance. So we'll be coming on the car for a second.
So when I go to HRE, it's wheels, wheels, wheels, wheels. So how big did you want me to ask? Sorry. How big did you want me to go?
No, they can't stand up with 21. And then the option's 22. No, it's only 23 or 24. I'll speak to the boys at HRE.
But I want something, why? Yeah, it's okay W have already said they're gonna release a coil over for it. So drive it out of the factory. Straight to City Performance, and I'll ripple this suspension out.
News to the engine in, slam it. And that's the key to all parts that I want to slam to an all parts. Yeah, thank you. No problem, thank you.
I'm gonna keep this car for a while. That's why I said it's okay. Because by then the car's ready to trade in. I'll be keeping the car for at least a year.
Yeah, two years. Yeah, it's good. Perfect. Perfect.
Probably have 5,000 cars on it. What's all the range over? No, no, no. Yeah, we'll have a couple of them.
Three, got it. In three, got it. Over two years? Okay, so my car's got 13 and a half.
You know where most of the kilometres were put on? From August, when I was at the wife's range over, to December, when we didn't have a car. That's my most of the case. That's in right down the path.
It's an interesting car drive. A lot of people say it's amazing. It's fantastic. Look, it is a phenomenal car.
It looks good. It's wide for a lot. It's a good car drive. If you have to drive it every day, it's the drone, that noise.
It's a great noise when you hammer it. But when you're in traffic, it's just, and it can be lazy in traffic. It's not responsive. You've got to really like a...
It's essentially a manual drive drive. And you look like a dick. And I did two country trips in it. My ass was namayas after two, three hours.
The other car I had. I drove from Queensland to Newcastle. It's a new car, so I didn't stop. I only stopped at Newcastle only because I think it appears.
Or also, we've got the Sydney on one take. I think when you get back, we need to start doing some car reviews. We're doing them on our own. We're randomly just going to deal with ships, taking cars.
We've got some companies lined up ready to help us out. That's all happening. It's lovely. It's lovely.
I've got friends at Lexus in Melbourne. I do want to, and I've been offered it, the new X3M. So obviously they got me to drive the X5M. What good drivers do they got me to drive the X3M?
If you're looking for an everyday car, they better alternative in the M3M. In my opinion. I haven't been to X3M, but when I picked up my M3 last year, they had an X340M40i. This thing's completely different.
And that was a loud motherfucker when I started. This thing is completely different. It doesn't have a DSG. Oh, no, it's a DSG.
What's it called? DCT. It's got the 8-speed from the M5 and it's got the 8-speed from the M8. How much are they going for?
They're like a GSG. They're like a GSG. They're like a GSG. They're like a GSG.
They're like a GSG. They're just two out there. The interior of them are sadies. Don't hate me, Mercedes listeners.
I can't even feel like a luxurious car. It just feels like they're throwing a bit of a B-class. I drive a S-class. They look sad.
I like that. I'm not sure what Shawoski crystal you know about BMW. I like the color palettes that the M cars come in. The blues and the off-rated dark reds.
Where A&G is just black and dark reds. I think there's too many. A BMW is starting to do as well. Well, the black and dark reds.
The M cars. Everything's an M car. I think there's too many A&G. There's too many A&G's.
It's just too light. Yeah. Now, but they're all black the A&G. Black colors in my cars.
That dark blue that the M cars build is beautiful. Yeah. I can change the color off until December. No, you got the right color.
Yeah, it's not happy with it. It's not black. Okay. So that's good.
It's fine. Excited. So what I need to tell you is the bike's going to sound like that. The bike's going to sound like that.
I've got a prison this week. What'd you get? One of our favorite guests from Collector, Chris Pawos. Oh, I love Chris Pawos.
He gave me a walk on the Porsche 968. Head lunch with me the other day. So I start flicking. I actually flick from the back.
Go, go, go to the front cover. You always look at the front cover. You can read it. This book is old.
Chris, it's not a book. It's like... So my good friend Peter Rowness. May you appreciate your 968 to the max.
A great Porsche car. Your friend Chris Pawos. October 2009. Thank you, Chris.
But I've been, I've looked at the author's name. Chris Pawos. Chris Pawos. You're actually the author's name.
Chris Pawos. You're actually the author's name. You're the author's name. But I start out a little bit.
Chris, I start out a little bit. Chris, I'm not from. Can I just say this brings back memories. When I was a kid, obviously you got a magazine.
You got a car magazine. But looking through this, man, this is like, the book. This is the book. There's some stuff.
There's a photo of the blonde girl with a convertible. It's a really 90s car. It's only 90s. Look at that.
That's not the purple color. It's a 98. Is it? That's a 964.
It's a 911. It's a back of my hand. So it's great. I used to, I used to buy all the things.
They now come online. They're here swiping. Obviously the cost of running a business back then and printing was a lot cheaper than today. But it reminds me of the Onmanaro ads where you got the girl dressed in tight-tight clothes and sexism was thrown out the window back in those days.
What a book. It's a nice book. Oh, that's my car. Look at that.
It's a 928. The 8 out the front. Well, the front end is based on the 928. If I was a kid, I would have just sat there for hours on the front.
So thank you, Chris. Chris, Chris. I'm going to show it. I'll run another book and get my book.
You'll find the X5 yet. And Chris, you'll give it a big bit. And the 911. You'll give it a big bit.
It was, we have to find your 30 books. Yeah, definitely. The fleet. So, yeah.
So, yeah. So, short podcast tonight. We had a late one this week. So, there'll be some American specials coming up from CIMA and some interviews with some Australian exhibitors.
That is what we heard. And there's another ask that's going to co-host. He can just pretend. Yeah, he can be completed.
He's talking about a couple of forms. He's talking about. Yeah, he's talking about books. And so, we've got a, and there's one of the fellows that's been to the States before.
But he's a US car nut. He's had SRT chips and a few hot rods and GDS, HSB. So, we'll get his, what he thinks of the American cars and the ladies. So, we'll have a few short specials from CIMA and then it'll be back to normal podcasting in a couple of weeks time.
Awesome. I want to see him pen this year. I'll bring some presents. I'll bring some presents.
Yeah, I'll bring some presents. I'll bring them presents. Yeah, I'll bring them presents. Yeah, I'll follow.
You're the captain. I'll get another one. So, thank you George for helping out. It's pretty good.
So, I'll bring you some wheels back. You need four, but can I bring one at a time? It's two, but you have the Bifurts. How many people are going out of it?
The six of us. Great. Six of us. Oh, yeah, I'll do.
That was me. So, and Hal, uh, Miss you and Amalfa. Hal's been very quiet tonight. I'm busy time here in Australia.
It's a busy season. So, thank you for listening. Download us. Follow us on Instagram.
I've done Facebook post on Instagram. Instagram. I'll post about it. Yeah, yeah.
