#440 - Eunice David

from The Paul Leslie Hour

440 - Eunice David The song "Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head" is celebrating a real milestone. It has now been 50 years since that song went to #1. The song was written by the legendary songwriting team of composer Burt Bacharach and lyricist Hal David for the movie “Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid." I’m proud to present this interview with Mrs. Eunice David, the widow of lyricist Hal David. This was broadcast on FM radio, and I felt like the timing was right to bring this to you all to hear on a different media. She is the author of a book about her late husband entitled Hal David: His Magic Moments. Eunice David spent 25 years with the man who wrote the lyrics to such classic songs as "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head," "To All The Girls I Loved Before," "Magic Moments," and "Do You Know The Way To San Jose.” Her book reveals the fun and untold tales behind some of these classic songs and tells the love story between her and Hal David.
