#442 Today's Boondoggle -Remember The Monsters and their War of Attrition

🤘 From Christian Kid to Metal Frontman — How Did He Get Here? What do punk rock, John Carpenter, and a Grand Rapids guitar player have in common? Everything — and Bill is here for ALL of it! 🎸 This week on Today's Boondoggle, Bill sits down with Andrew De Neef vocalist, and songwriter for Remember the Monsters, for one of the most electrifying conversations the show has ever had! Andrew opens up about growing up in a conservative Christian household and how discovering punk rock completely blew the doors off his world. We get into seeing Underoath live, the deep mutual love for John Carpenter's They Live and how that iconic film directly inspired the music video for their track "Infected," the clever origin of the band name, and the legendary old venue Skeletons. But wait — there's MORE! The Grand Rapids music scene, Andrew's wild connection to the Winter Olympics, working with Jay Gordon of Orgy, a hot take on why we need people like Charlie Kirk, a jaw-dropping Taylor Swift cover, recording with producer Matt Good, and a passionate stand against A.I. in art. This one goes HARD. Don't miss it! 🔥 Are you ready to see what happens when a church kid finds a distortion pedal and never looks back — and builds something THIS powerful from it?
