TRANSCRIPT · AUTO-GENERATED

Really? See any touch you guys up? Yeah, do you have a happy shot? I have a happy shot.

You've got a happy shot. If you guys do a good job, then you can replace the rigours that I usually have on here. Hey! Good morning, good afternoon, good evening to wherever you are.

You're listening to the AllTalk Car Podcast, our American special. We're here, we've made it. You're not going to hear the voice of another Ross. Mr.

Ross Gravaris, not Galeres. So Galeres. Howdy, all? Gale.

I've got Leah Saras here helping us out. Galeo. Good evening, gentlemen. And we've got Marian Baroud.

Hi everyone. How you doing? Good. So last week we were going to get into the interview.

We're all, we've seen her starting during the week, so this is just a little short USA intro observation of what we've known as the last couple of days since we've been here. We're recording from the 56th floor of the winds resort, Cosino, Tower, Top Building, another five floors before off the building. But it's looking good, got the screen open, overlooking the strip. So it's nice, it's amazing.

Do you get some favourite cup of Vegas if you can? Yeah. But it's a good thing. But it's a great hotel.

But weird things happen at the pool area. Really weird. But I don't want any birds around. What happens to Ross?

What did you know? It's the other day. Well, it seemed to be an eagle flying around chasing the birds and there was a handle there handling the eagles. So basically a trained eagle and no birds, no bird shoot anywhere.

I'm going to buy one for our street. Happy customers. I'm going to be asked, I'm going to be a motherfucking tree. And I parked my car two houses down so I don't need to buy bird shoot.

But if I'm not going to get the kids to get an eagle. I'm trying to be an eagle. The kids are going to buy one. I said no.

But if I heard an eagle's chase of birds away, why not? But no, we're here in Vegas. We've got our passes for Seema. We did a few things.

We did loads of your follows on Instagram. The June Vagueies. Oh, bloody amazing. Very friendly.

It's a big skip before first. Oh yeah. Yeah, we turned up. This dodgy shuttle bus comes and picks us up.

Takes us 20 minutes out of Vegas into the desert. His name was Ozy, but he wasn't an Ozy. The boss is covering dust off of us. We're going to get dirty today.

And they take us into the briefing. They make us sign. They make us sign. I don't think I've ever disclaimed that with any conditions.

You know, like a waver. Oh yeah, you may have all your rights. The point is if you damage this, it's 500 bucks. I thought it was a party.

If you roll it, it's full-granny. If you're that. I think you might have to take us through sand dunes. Fuck it.

I think this thing is going to roll. But when they gave us the right act, they were overtaking no passing. No, there's no ones here out there. We'll get to that in a minute.

But we also had two Americans with us. We had Bob, which we're going to try and meet up and see. He's got Bobby Hughes. He's got Bobby Hughes.

Yeah, he had a wolf. A wolf engineering. He's been there for 40 years. He's been there for 40 years.

He's been there for 40 years. So we'll try and catch up with him in some of his lives. He was a nice bloke. And then we had the other extreme.

I can't remember his name. Jai was it? Jai was a broke-and-stock market. He bragged about having a load of some of those.

He had a Corvette. I'd say, yeah, no. You're an American, really? So the rest of the group was asking a few others of our group.

And it was fun. No, it can't am. It can't am. It can't am.

What model? If you Google it. No idea. It's not only they tuned, but still.

And I think because they're only like a sadder mean, I think the acceleration wasn't as that way. I would love if. Well, I was like a full drive. I'd be travelling a lot.

I'd put a plane when I got stuck. Yeah. So someone got stuck. I was following me for a while.

I was like, I'm going to start. I'm going to start. I'm going to start. I'm going to start.

I'm going to start. I'm going to start. I'm going to start. I'm not front.

What was it? When you're following people, I think you have to, you know. Yeah, so the rules are, we had to go in a conga line. That one, working at the front, one at the back, and all in the line.

And I say, keep one carly with each other at the start. It's pretty hard work out there to keep with one carly. But towards the end, when you first get in it, like hours with two seaters, the guy in front of us had four seat up. And you're in front.

I was in front. And you couldn't keep up with it. I couldn't keep up. I was flat sick and he was just pulling away.

So we were teaching. Yeah. But it was all throttle control. We hardly used the brake.

Correct. And then when you first get out there, you see the mounds and you think, oh fuck, it's going to hurt me. But the suspension travelling, these things, so make it. I was very impressed.

I was very impressed. I was very impressed. I'd be hurting a lot more than what I got. Oh yeah, that's the best.

Yeah. And I left shot. It's killing me. Yeah, because those were listening left hand drive.

So the seatbelt comes in. It's still a mark on my chest. But it was great. And so the starting one was like, oh, oh, shit.

But you realize it doesn't bottom out. And you get confident that you can sell it. And the grip around boy is like, it's like the drive. Yeah, they're full drive.

But basically, still trying to figure out whether they are slightly full-estate. Yeah. Because I don't know if I was taking him to a good one. I don't know if it was my playing tricks on me, but I think he's full-seater one.

I think I saw a slight full-seering in the rear as well. You reckon? I think so. I think he's done that.

Was it desert? True. Some thought they found a good one. It was a cross.

It was a cross. It was a two-star. Do you think it was a pun on it? Oh, fuck me.

That was someone to go. Because maybe not a desert. Not a risky bike. And it's November.

And it was still hot. And November is like a month away from winter here. I had to do that in June, July. But they gave us the debrief.

And apparently went to sign. The first thing we signed was a disclosure not to touch this rear tortoise. Correct. Because if you're this tortoise that lives in a desert, it's endangered.

If you touch it, it literally shoots at bees itself. It loses its... It's not that hard. It only does a lot of fine later.

And you're a jailer. Yeah. But I thought it was a rock. I don't know what it was.

I mean. I don't know what it was. I didn't see it. Can we get the chance to touch it, except for when we stopped for that break?

I don't know what you're saying. I think the fucking third one was like a rock. I'm happy. So if you threw a rock set, I can still kiss itself?

Oh, no. Possibly. No. Full song of dance, he told us in the car, we'd get to there, we'd decide it.

They all told us. They all told us. I was telling us about this. Anyway.

But it was good fun. And then it was a digital screen. The taco was in numbers, like you'd rev it to 6,000. It was like a CDT, it didn't change gears.

But going back to your steering point, what I noticed is you'd understeer into a corner and then the grip would take over and just pull you through. So I don't know whether that was the front diff doing the work but and the understeer through the dirt and the sand. But I found that, and I thought it was a turbo charge, it was making that noise. It was making those noises.

As your exile accelerator, the guy goes, he wasn't nervous, so I'm not mechanically minded. Maybe anyone rusted to tell me what that bloody was. But anyway, that noise, he's often accelerated. But we hardly used the brake.

But that was good fun. So we talked about 30 miles. I looked, I don't think we went faster than 30 miles, but it felt like we were doing 50, 60 miles, which was my first conditions. And that was enough.

Any more than that would have been sort of borderline dangerous. So it was a two hour thing. So the first half was the issue into it, then they get faster. And we thought we were pretty fast.

And then at the end, we have a brake. We stopped like a canyon. Looked like a river. It would have been a dried river bed.

So we had a brake and the toilet facilities were all natural. That's right. That's right. I found a rock.

Or Clarish, probably. Yeah. And then, like you know, that's this way. You're just a shoot.

You know, it reminds me of a joke. This guy got dressed up as a ninja toilet of fancy dress. And he had his girlfriend sitting on his shoulders. Who's that mate?

Ask me, sure. So I might have to do that. I thought it was funny. But anyway.

So you get it? I'm sure. I'm sure. I'm sure.

You got it. What's wrong with that? What's up, honey? What happened?

What happened? What happened? I was thinking about something else. What happened?

What do you think about? dale. Misses Mary. Mary.

I was thinking about Sofia. and then, but then, we get back into the break. And you knew it. It was a two hour, 2 hour, 2 hour, 2 o hellhole Birth optic does honor?

And we jumped on. The second part was just complete. Dustbowl? Yeah, literally you're flying, and you couldn't set a corner in front of ya.

And they had a little lab, they saw flags but you don't overmelons and hills. Like inRA z cisema Apparently to The Dream, there was probably. Roblee Ng, and we were out of nearly Sin happening. And then, at one stage, we got a fan of the Matt.

Really? Fr imitate? We're like, what? literally zero and then that's why we got off and we were coming here.

So we all came back and just by the end chow and someone called him and said I look like a nice do I not? It looked like a heavy dose today. So thanks buddy. I recommend the June Buggies.

I've come here a few times and I've done a lot of things but the June Buggies I haven't done and it's was good fun. It was $300. It was money well spent. Because you can do those, not that I've done with those speed race, we can hire a new Corvette to a couple of laps and I reckon for the same money.

Bank for your bar. I mean I do want two, three laps as an overall experience. Yeah the June Buggies. And you're never going to do it anyway.

There's not an only way to see what you're going to do. So that was a pretty good experience out of day. So we put some photos up. Now we need some touring today.

We did a Shelby tour. That was amazing. That was great. Again the...

They look better over here. Mustangs in general. Yeah they look hot. They look hot.

Especially if there's no four single ones there. No. No. You know that's right.

They're not supposed to be the same as you. Put your checkbook out Ross. There's a few for some. If I thought about it, that blew Mustang duty as they had there.

The Super Snake. That's the first thousand horsepower Mustang. A few of the old ones. The Daytona, the car that paired a Brock Guild himself in in Perth.

Shelby Daytona was there. A couple of GLE 40s at the Lamonts cars. That's a free tour. And then we went to look at the factory.

So there's an area where you can look at the crew working on Mustangs, the Audi 150 and anything else that they can get their hands on. And then a few of the older cars in their part, Beyman Rose. They must rotate around in the museum. They were right.

They were all wrapped. They were all polished. A lot of the companies that do polish the aluminium shell. They do a polished aluminium shell.

And there's a company which makes them in Poland and they're actually manufactured in the old mid-foiler. They used to make mid-foilers in the factory and they handcraft covers in the world. So did they come out like that? I mean you were a short expert.

Originally they were an aluminium boy. They were. So now you know, most of them are replicas. But even the reproduction series.

I think a lot of them were done in aluminium and quite a lot of them were covered as well. But they're still registered on the Shelby Copper Register as Copper as you've got one in your garage. If you can call it that. It's more a good car at the moment.

We're still looking on it. Hopefully one day. So you'll be fair. Do you like it?

Do you want one? I haven't. But I just like them. Very sexy car.

So I'm just a reproduce car in the world. The original one's a track. I reckon that was the first million cars. That was $1 million a year ago.

I mean except for the off Ferrari that the Sophie's and something's got proven race history now. A couple million easy. The shorts always were up there. And then replicas are also a community.

A little bit of a good replica. Probably around just under 200. Depending on what it's got. That's the one money for replicas.

That's a lot of money. That's a lot of companies do that make a mistake. But hopefully one day I'll get one finished. We'll see you on the stage.

Not much more. Love it. F6. F6.

And you'll get that for the kids? Yeah. I stopped running it now. Like I knew it comes out.

And weekends when it's not raining. Just got new brambers and everything. I think it's one of the best cars that Ford made. The Barringer.

It's unbreakable. I've had a lot of taxis that it was not. Do you think that's why? Taxis go forever.

Now. Well when you drive it. And you've got a good stable. Currently I've got a MSA 55 BNG.

Oh wow. Some listeners, if you remember, there was me, received a letter from a reaction where they should buy it. We all said yeah. That was a previous car.

That was a previous week. A bit of previous R129. That was an SL 600. That's right.

The V12. And we said yeah. just do it. Did you buy that car?

Did you listen to the podcast? No. He did that to me the Okay, he told us about that. He goes, yeah, I did listen to it.

We told him bloody quiet. So I bought that thing and I think I've always been, I've always loved that. And he grew up and becoming from a family with an uncle who's a redhead and a car enthusiast and my father who's also in the automotive industry. Being around cars my entire life, he just did my blood.

So I bought that car but I was underwhelming in terms of performance. So I thought I'd step up a little bit. Well, he has cells in the AEG. I've driven in a cell 55 AEG and they just want to go.

I've never driven a 600. I've been in a 600 coupe of that era. And they're just a lazy, talky just cruiser car. They are, they're a lazy.

The guy that had the SCC was the coups, the square ones from the 90s with the little antenna things would pop up for the reverse part. He tried to show off and gun it. But they're just heavy cruiser. And also the RDR-8?

The RDR-8? The car returned. Or you had 4.2, the V8-1, the V10. Or drive or the RWS?

No, the old drive. So it's a 65-35 split. You like that? I like that car.

It's a nice car. I've had a few times. I thought it was before that. Hell, I'm going to drive.

Who would come? Who would come? What'd you ever do that? I drove that car.

Reputation? Or yes or no? But also, I think for me, I thought I'd love the car. I'd buy it and then I would drive it all the time.

And then unfortunately, then I'd lose that spark. For me now, what I drive, I've got to just keep it in the garage. I'm driving a case of driving a case of driving a case of driving a car. And every time I hop in it, I'll be falling in love it all the way again.

Versus driving it every day. And then it ends up in a normal ordinary sort of under-look car. Probably sounds weird, but yeah, if you're driving it every day. So you notice any similarities between the R8 and the R4?

Same platform. Yeah. Or would you notice similarities? Well, the Lamborghini was a very sort of aggressive car.

It's not classified as a sort of car. You pop in it and go for a long drive to speak. The Audi's more of a driver friendly. It's more of an economic in that sense.

It's what you want. They're both correct. Good cars build from the same platform. But if you want loud and visualized.

The Audi's are the Audi and what you go for the Lamborghini. If you notice anyone that would have backed up. But if you just want to be able to enjoy that performance and have that sort of sense of sophistication. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah, use a grand op-1, correct. And if you notice any, like, owning, is there a difference in insurance, something like that? With the two?

Oh. Insurance is not really, it's more of a case. Well, again, I haven't got the best job record. Fair enough.

We'll let that one go. Yeah, fair enough. Yeah, fair enough. Yeah, fair enough.

Yeah, that's the bottom. Yeah, that's the bottom. Yeah, the bottom. Yeah, the bottom.

That was a great car. Did you ever get it to stop? No, it was a great car. It didn't really get it to stop.

It didn't really get to stop. Really? Never stopped. Wow.

Yeah, so that was an M9. Yeah, 4.3, a little bit of a 8. Yeah, triple black. Red stitching red brakes.

Just pop. Good car. And I was just fine driving that car. Did you feel like James Bond driving that thing?

Not really. I thought he was a great singer. You know why Jack it? You're the gold too.

You're the gold too. I'm going to stew him. I'm going to stew him. My wife went to a wedding when she was a teenager with all her relatives.

I was like, oh, I'm a kid's table. Or a kid's table. And they had a great singer at this wedding. And he was sort of crooning over the girls.

And he had a gold too. So what? My wife did with all her friends. He's with the old butter.

And they had that alf oil with the yellow. They all put the alf oil over the bottom over there too. And so the singer saw a table full of teenage girls. They went across to his table to a crew.

And they all looked at him and smiled with the tooth. And he just quickly did that. And he said, I don't know why he bolted back. Oh.

Great singers. Shouting the other. But yeah, shout out to John Tiki. He was listening.

Yeah. I always, you know, some classic American time cars. Yeah, yeah. Had a SRT, the J.

Yeah. That was good. A lot of power. Do you have any problems with that?

Was that a good car too? No, it was a good car overall. Yeah. I had it for probably about two and a half years.

Served well. It was a great car. It was a badger than it drive actually. Yeah.

It was really good. We thought we could. Yeah. Great family car.

Did some trips. You know, a couple of trips. Long drives. Driving all the time.

So we used the car a lot. Yeah. He's driving with the tonics. He's very quick.

Well, at the time, yeah, fuel was as expensive as he was. The alternative was you did, yeah. So you had an H-S-way as well. That was the smorages.

That was the vehicle car. It was like a 6.2 and a handle on a 6.4. So that was the smorker. Unbelievable to the former Zodos, Hemis.

Yeah. Yeah. For a big four drive. That's special.

And now I've got track. Is it the track walk? What do they got now? Yeah.

Yeah. It's the jack walk. It's the jack walk. It's the jack walk.

Yeah. It's the 6.4. Yeah. Yeah.

That's like the quickest issue. I think on the market, isn't it? I think so. I know the Uruas is quicker, but it's a lovely J-bar.

It's a positive base. And if not, quicker. And the Urus is the same as the VOP. It's like 3.4.

Yeah, I think the jack is around that. Yeah. The J-bar. Yeah.

I'm not sure I could be wrong, but they did. So I'll throw it. Yeah. It was like the quickest issue.

I don't know if they said that before the Urus came out, but compared to prices. If you really want brand new ones, then bang for your bar. The J-bar. The one to get.

I understand. If you had a service station. Well, yeah. So that's basically what we saw.

I said we do a short podcast from the US. So we're off to see the tomorrow, and I'm going to check it all out. check it all out and interview some of those Australian companies that line that up so some short episodes in the next week or so but anything else fellas? You like Las Vegas?

You wanna come back? Yeah, come to Las Vegas, it's my first time and it's mind blowing. It's a rack place, it's very vibrant, very lively, lots to do and yes... You guys have got something else lined up tomorrow?

Yeah, we're going on an outdoor shooting range. Lucky to do, lucky to. We're going to Ferrum Shinga. Bring a rope weapon.

A block. 50 caliber rifle. A sniper rifle? A sniper rifle?

Yeah, it's all included and we've got three all of it explosive, some three... We both think it's up three times or something. Well, tell us about that. You did something else that was pretty unique.

I did the jet fighter experience. That was something that you possibly could do it I think in maybe in Sydney somewhere but in here and it was great. You have the option of the pilot doing a high-g turn and see if you can stay away. Does he just sit up?

Yes, yes. There were some other guys with me and they refused. I said, I said, go ahead. I might just say, wait, but I only just like, I was, he said the video footage, it was basically a look like I was a zombie and I was sort of rushing out of my mind.

Do you want me to use it? I can't remember. Four or five? I think it was around five.

Yeah, four or five around there but yeah, also an experience, you know, especially when the pilot's flying straight up, switches the engine off and then you see all the... It just lets the poor... It just falls, it just three falls down. You've got to see all the smoke and everything.

You've got to come up past you. And you say, oh shit, what does he do? He just sort of puts on a beat up. That's what it is.

That's what it's like. It's like doing a hundred and ten-hour on JIT. And look at the kids and have a kid, so stay with him. Turn the engine off in your car.

I laugh at someone depending on the JIT, but I think he has to be done. Oh, have you got a JIT to say? He would have one. Do you have one?

Yeah, we had one. Yeah, you're probably... Well, you were at a parachute. Or was it a parachute?

No. We had a parachute. Do you have a safety briefing or do I just do it? No, safety briefing.

But I think the waiver was a lot more complicated for the... Because obviously, you're saying that in the sky. Yeah, that's a bit 100%. If I can't, if I'm playing stores in the sky, I'm not going to have to listen.

I'm not going to have to listen. That's a good spot. Yeah. Actually, we'll fly.

We're on the same flight. I thought Leo was already here, but we're not messing back as we're approaching. Yeah, it's all of them. Yeah, it's all of them.

Yeah, it looks like we've got to go to the landing. Yeah, obviously. We had a landing. Yeah, but you can see a light.

We'll come in. It's like something was loosened just locked up. It's just a place to go. It's just a place to go.

It's just breaks. It looked like a real fucking man. It's just like it was. It did.

So I don't know what the fuck that was, but we made it safely. Everything was good. And, er, Leo, what do you marry that you would get the rubber glove treatment at the airport? Oh, yeah, it's good.

Yeah. Russ and I were thrilled that Murray had a cross-free visa ticket. Said to go through the long line with all the users' dealers' or the mules'... The mules.

I thought they were just somewhere getting the train. Yeah, it was. So, you took a while. You took a while to the small though.

So you must have been able to have the happy bus through the gate. Or they used plenty of... Anyway. So, thank you for listening.

Follow us on Instagram. They've got a heaps of photos this week from C-Man, all the weird and wonderful bloody cars and trucks and, god, that's what else machines. But my guess is always a car of the show. My guess is the Supra.

I got my passes today. It was already a Supra. They're done. We saw one driving in from Max's tires.

I had a Supra on the back of the truck. So I think this year's car of the show is Supra. We were coming a couple years ago. It was on Mustang everywhere.

So there's always, like, when the new in thing comes in. I remember some of the time we got 10 years ago, the 300C. When that first came in, every stand had a 300C. So I think this year will be the Supra.

I'll try and take as many Supra photos as I can. So, yeah, that's all coming up. So hopefully the Supra leaves up to its expectations. Well, I've been promised as if all from BMW.

So I'm going to drop that and see how that is. But that's coming up in a couple weeks time. So, yeah, but Supra, yeah, we're not friends with Teo. I don't know if you can give us anything yet.

We've asked for Corollas. I think it was the final... Oh, yes, we will. Yes, we will.

Yes, the hi. Yeah, so thank you for listening. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook. Download us on iTunes, Shallingen, Spotify, rate us, review us, and so we can climb those charts.

And we'll speak to you during the week. Thank you for listening and thanks, guys, for coming on. Thank you. Thank you for coming on.

Bye.
